Lets see one has been reelected several times, the other one quiet. One is running the other one is not. Cannot compare actual reelected success to one that does not have that experience.

Doesn’t change my mind. I like her. And I like her better than Sarah, as a leader. I think she has been much more solid on conservative financial issues than Palin.

But....I would like to know why Savage no longer likes her. He was really touting her a few months ago. Now, he seems to be upset with Bachmann.

I don’t dislike Bachmann. I just like Palin better.

Here's my only comment, which should be sufficient..."she doesn't have Sarah's record"

She talks the talk, but Sarah's the ONLY ONE who's actually walked the walk! - I ask anyone else, to name what other candidate has taken on the 'Republican Establishment' (corrupt or not) and WON!

I have no idea what he is talking about, and I am a relatively newly minted fan of Palin and I am not looking to Bachmann to replace her anytime in the near future.

I have problems with Bachmann, especially since she seems to be doing some stuff for political expediency, but I still have a favorable opinion of her. I am bound to have a problem with everyone sooner or later, so unless I want to run, I’ll have to live with it.

I remember Bachmann being at the forefront, for example, of the "Repeal and Replace" groundswell that helped drive the huge Republican victories of last November. Now that that uproar has died down, her silence is as deafening as anybody else's.

Not true. Who is it that found $105 billion hidden in the "bill we had to pass so we can find out what's in it" to implement ObamaCare? Who is it that says at every opportunity that this is one of the first cuts we should make? Other than Jim DeMint and Michele Bachmann, I don't hear anyone else in the GOP even bringing this up, much less repeating it.

The House has the votes to defund the implementation of ObamaCare, queering the military and a ton of other odious crap. Who, other than a handful of strong conservatives including Michele Bachmann has the guts to even talk about it?

Basically, Bachmann "talks" very well the strategy that Sarah has actually "walked" the actual implementation of over the past 20 years.

It is one thing to speak eruditely of all these great principles, and quite another to live them day in and day out, when an entire State's (or Country's) well-being hangs in the balance of the results of your decisions and actions... of your leadership.

Palin is tested and proven. Bachmann is not.

I’m afraid I agree.

Something creeps me out a bit by Bachman and I can’t quite put my finger on it.

The former governor of Alaska is a conservative. Her would-be political clone only plays one on TV.

One actually plays a TV commentator and walked off her job.

The other is still in there fighting for conservatism.

Hmmmmmm.....

Looks likes BDS is striking.

John McCain was foisted on us by the wishy washy moderates and the stealth cross-over leftist voters during the 2008 primary campaign.

George W. Bush came across as a "decent" conservative but his record turned out to be that of a big spending Republican as well as supporting the New World Order. Remember the Farm Bill and the massive prescription drug entitlement? The "hysteria" against "W" was very distracting but we really should have held him accountable for straying from true conservative principles.

His "invasion" of Iraq was pretty impressive. It was necessary to remove Saddam from power. But the "occupation" was poorly planned and the "pacification" effort was botched. It would have been advantageous to retain the members of the Iraq military on modest salary and make them responsible for keeping the Islamist under control and clearing out IEDs, etc.

Is Bachmann another George Bush? We need to investigate her background and not just listen to her stump speech. I read today that she used to write tax code? Is that a negative or a positive? Did she support any kind of social engineering in the tax code? We need to ask questions NOW! Do not stand by passively and wait to see what develops. We need to fight for the hearts and minds of the American people.

He expressed my own opinion of Rep. Bachmann and her candidacy in a far clearer way than I've been able to manage. Part of it is my preference for a candidate (and a president) who has an actual history of managing something. Then I remind myself that the second worst president in my lifetime was Governor of Georgia before taking on that other high office.

A second preference is nominating someone who can win. This is an existential question as I do not believe my country can survive two terms under Obama. Winning in 2012 (for the Republican candidate) will require surviving what will certainly be the most concentrated assault on truth and reason since Hitler and Goebbels convinced the German people that Poland had attacked them. Can Bachmann handle that with complete grace under fire and ability to wrong foot the opponent and the press? Neither she nor any of the announced candidates have shown me they have the steel spines and fast reflexes required.

Finally, there's just an unidentifiable something that I don't like about her. Part of that may stem from the kid gloves treatment she is now receiving from a press corps we all know is just waiting for a signal to reverse all that and tear her limb from limb. I hate it when anyone tries to set me up, and especially when they are so stupidly obvious in the attempt.

To anyone who's a big fan of the lady I would say I wished I liked her, but I don't. If she gains the nomination I will vote for her. But I think she would actually make a far weaker candidate against Obama than Gov. Palin.

This article mirrors my take on her. Insightful, coming from a Minnisotan.
