I still maintain that Palin will enter the race officially sometime between August 15 and Labor Day. I was originally pretty confident about my August 15 prediction, but I can make a case for early September instead. I think either end of that spread is more likely than sometime in the middle.
It is clear that Gov. Palin will not be running for POTUS. It’s obvious that if Palin were to enter, Bachmann’s campaign would be devastated. All the oxygen and money would flow to Sarah. The fact that Michele is running shows that the two gals have made some deal.
Bachmann would not have entered if she knew that Palin would enter. And Palin would not undercut a fellow Christian.
Perry would not run if he knew that Palin would run against him. Perry knows that Palin is not running.
They think it matters what they think. How silly of them.
That’s a nice logical speculation, but there is another assumption that can be made following that logic:
Maybe Palin, Perry, and Bachman had a meeting. Palin confided in them she would run, and the others agreed to continue their campaigns to take heat off of Palin, or keep running if desired.
Christians would support each other’s candidacy until the proper time to fold and give support.
That makes no sense. I’m sure Bachmann isn’t the only Christian running. Palin already said (more than once) that she doesn’t see the right candidate in the race.
That’s hilarious. You can’t really believe that, do you? Michelle Bachmann will not be the GOP nominee in 2012. Period.
The GOP will not nominate someone with no executive experience nor someone who has never won a statewide election.
And if, as you say, Bachmann’s fortunes depend on Palin’s decision to enter or not enter the race, that only proves what a poor candidate Bachmann is.
Palin should get in Nov, Same as Reagan did!
I am certain that BOR and CK will support the Marxist if Sarah is the GOP nominee. There is no way these misogynist bores would support Sarah.
Look who he supported in the past to let you know what he'll be like if in office.
LOOK AT WHAT THEY DO, NOT WHAT THEY SAY..
Palin scares the cr#p out of all of them. They hate her for being a Christian, non-aborting, no nonsense, simple speaking, common sense woman.
I don't want another "my turn to be nominated" Republican like Dole or McCain. Notice how the last two senators just ambled on up and were handed the keys to the party... then promptly fell on their A##.
No more RINOs. F' em. I'd rather have the enemy in front of me than a quisling, traitorous, mealy mouthed, RINO like McCain or any of the other go along to get along so called Republicans.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.. I know that means that the dems MIGHT get control. So what, it's on them and if the country does go to sh#t, I'm good.
Could care less actually. My job is mobile (other countries want my skill set), my kids show up to work sober, on time and put in full days(better than 80% of co-workers) and I don't need a lot of money because the cars, trucks, home and essentials are paid off. My son will never join the military unless drafted, unlike his father, grandfather, uncles because I'm not having him put in harms way for the pieces of cr@p that pass for leaders in our country and our military willing to sacrifice men on the alter of PC rules of engagement and even security checks of the men serving with them.
I'd recommend that anybody that really cares about this country just hunker down and go Galt. Don't buy ANYTHING over $500 that isn't ESSENTIAL unless it's used. Pay cash and same with travel, vacations and any entertainment. Just hunker down for a year and bring this TOFUS and his little Ivy League economists down.
CK was much better in the online continuation of the All-Star panel last night, when he countered idiot (or Establishment puppet) Steve Hayward’s claim that Palin’s entry would make things 10x easier for Romney by splitting the vote with Bachmann.
CK stressed that one conservative challenger would emerge pretty quickly and that it could be Palin, that Palin is smart, and that Palin could win the nomination. (He didn’t take it out further than that.)
Oh, also CK gave Palin her due re: the tea party, saying that yes, Bachmann chaired the TP caucus in congress, but that Palin was really the queen of the tea party.
