Yeah, when a self-avowed communist gives you a standing ovation, you must be exactly what we need as the Republican nominee. Could these guys be any more RINOish?

The only difference is that Christie is a MAN and so he will always be considered more ready for the presidency than Palin. I’ve certainly learned on FR that most conservatives do not want a woman near the oval office.

Well I say let Christie get in the race. At least that way he and Romney can share the same votes and cancel each other out.

Real men support Sarah Palin for President.

You mean "fight like a girl" "girl power" "mama grizzly" "woman up"? That Palin? Well I don't know if real men support her but I can't stand identity politics.

I see her as a decent candidate and could support her, but these real men you speak of seem to befalling all over themselves for other reasons or perhaps they missed Sarah Palin's Alaska. The main reason I would vote for Palin is if I knew she listened to Todd.

All that said, Chris Christie is waaaaay too obese for the Presidency. Palin runs half marathons and the rest of the candidates are at least in decent shape.

Wow, so...

If you don’t support Obama, you’re a racist.

If you don’t pick Palin as your primary candidate, you’re a sexist?

I see where this is going. And it makes perfect sense. Just watching the Obamabot-esque instance that Palin is “The One” on these forums has made it clear.

I can’t take Christie seriously after his “suicide” comment. If he jumps in, I’ll actually have LOST a measure of respect for him. You can’t deny something THAT emphatically only to say, “Haha - psych! I was just kidding.”

I can't stand identity politics either, but Americans are even more tired of corrupt cronyism politics.

That excludes all the RINO male candidates being pushed forth this election season, and every RINO male candidate since 1988, including the falsely esteemed, anti-American GWB.

As far as Christie getting the "anti-corruption" vote for jailing a few cohorts who fell out of favor with his local mafia, that ain't going to happen.

As far as Rick Perry getting the majority vote of American citizens after many years of him pandering to illegals, the Mexican government, La Racists, muslims, Merck, and myriad other facets of his cronyist corruption, that ain't going to happen.

As far as Romney getting the majority vote of American citizens after years of pretending to be one thing after/before another. Romney is worse than an empty suit. He lacks any basic consistent principles, other than whatever will work to get him elected. Obama-Lite will be his political epitaph.

Cain has a fairly good message, probably is a good person, but he won't win a nationwide election. He can't raise the money, and he won't get the votes.

People support Sarah Palin not because she is a she. They support her because she is consistently pro-American, consistently anti-corruption, consistently pro-Constitution, consistently conservative, and consistently herself.

The people against her are consistently corrupt, in a variety of ways.

By the way, have you heard Todd Palin's interview?

No, but don't really need to but link it. I know Todd is an anti government, states rights kind of guy who wants the government to leave everyone alone. I also saw him as a pretty solid counter to Palin's neediness in Sarah Palin's Alaska. He seemed to be a calming factor.

I liked Palin alot until I saw SPA. She came across as in need of attention and frankly kinda trying too hard. I could see she has been a helpful wife to Todd but Todd and his oldest son seemed very solid guys, the girls seemed like spoiled brats. That was my take and it opened my eyes.

For the record this is a Christie thread and I try to stay off pro Palin threads so I don't ruin their enjoyment of talking about their candidate.

I support Perry. Don't bother trashing Perry either, I already hear every vile thing that could be said since Perry threads are full of bomb throwers. He has been my governor for 10 years. Iwent to his original inaugural ball and he is a decent man with a solid family. He will make a very good President.

Could anyone be more tone-deaf than Christie? He’s big enough that it will take awhile, but he will be chopped up and cast aside. A solid phoney.

What a joke. Yeah, I like that he smacked down Dem Legislature and Teachers Union but, just started watching The Undefeated last night.

Sarah’s strength of character and guts FAR FAR outshines anything Christie’s done, to date. (I’d say her guts bigger than his but, ...)

Took on GOP Establishment, corrupt politicians, Big Oil (Exxon, etc) and finally NAYSAYERS’ MINDS (to this day and even right here) when she stepped down as Governer of Alaska OUT OF PRINCIPLE AND GOOD OF THE PEOPLE, knowing she’d personally take a hit.

miss m -- you noticed that too, eh? Betcha if we outright ask them, they will deny it. Still doesn't make it any less true.

(miss m - inre to your earlier post . . .this is a case in point.)

So normy, what you are saying is if Sarah gets told how to run the country from Todd, then you are ok with that? That there is no way a woman could run the country without a man telling them what to do. Niiiiiice.

Golda Meier. Margaret Thatcher.

Actually I DVR'ed it and watched it with my wife and 3 kids. I used to fish for crab in Alaska and has 2 friends who captain boats today.

I thought Palin was awesome in 2008 and thought she beat Joe Bidens ass in the debate.

I saw Palin's Alaska and she no longer seemed Presidential to me. I saw her as a normal house wife who tried real hard to be liked.

That's not a dig on her, it's just how I saw her.

Later her daughter did DWTS and then her speeches became more "woman centric" and now she seems to have lost her joy.

I think she has a role just not President and neither does Christie, he's too fat. Chubby is ok but he probably weighs 400 lbs.
