Skip to comments. Why conservatives have a Hart for Herman Cain

Criticizing the conservative defenders of Herman Cain, and defending journalistic ethics in coverage of Cain and his female accusers, RealClearPolitics editor Carl M. Cannon writes, "It's the media's job to examine these stories carefully, and also to search for other possible victims and witnesses."
He is, of course, correct -- in some alternative universe. The trouble is not that conservatives don't see the potential that Cain is not telling the truth. The trouble is Mr. Cannon's abysmally unprofessional colleagues, and their constant failure to do their job consistently.
Four accusers should have been enough to knock any candidate out of the race but for the fact that the news media has next to no credibility or ethics. Mr. Cannon's colleagues have earned the mistrust and disrespect of conservatives.
It took only one incident to knock Gary Hart out of the 1988 Democratic presidential primary. Rumors of an affair were circulating when Hart famously said, "Follow me around. I don't care. I'm serious. If anybody wants to put a tail on me, go ahead. They'll be very bored."
Turns out they weren't so bored after all.
On May 8, 1987, an "angry and defiant" Gary Hart held a press conference to denounce everyone but himself.
Herman Cain may this year's Gary Hart. Conservatives, however, know that the news media act like a pack of wolves when conservatives are in danger, and like sheep when liberals are at the center of controversy. There's no honesty; no reliability.
Cain may be lying. We know the media lies -- and cheats....

If Romney is the nominee, BHO will be president again.
There is zero point in supporting Romney when he is nearly identical in policy to BHO.
I did hear Huntsman say he is now the conservative voice among the candidates since Cain is out. (Even typing that makes me laugh)
Period. End of story.
I agree with that.
I think the Obama Strategy is now clear. Let the MSM take out anyone who looks like they have the potential to beat Mitt Romney.
This gives Obama two benefits: First, it demoralizes the real conservatives and makes us less likely to vote. And two, it increases dramatically the likelihood of a conservative 3rd party candidate emerging. This, of course, would split the GOP vote and Obama would waltz to victory. 4 more years of Communist rule.
Inferred by this view is that it is the Dems and not the Republicans who are trying to bring down Cain.
Who says it can’t be both? I could see Milt and Barry joining forces to destroy Herman Cain. Milt’s people advised the Obama administration on ObamaCare, as I recall.
I hope not! Especially if Romney is the GOP nominee, it is important for us to vote. If Obama wins, we need a conservative Congress to stop the rapid spread of socialism from a far left White House. If Romney wins, we need a conservative Congress to stop the moderately rapid spread of socialism from a moderately leftist White House. Either way, we need every conservative in the country out there voting in the primaries and again on election day, 2012.
They never demonize the RINOs like Romney or McCain. Those RINOs are called “mavericks” and are graciously supported as “good republicans” until the general election where the media supports the democrat.
“We know the media lies — and cheats.
Period. End of story”.......so, cheat me once, your fault, cheat me twice, my fault...I don’t know that Herman has ever lied to me.....,but the media constantly lies....and, the old adage: “you can’t cheat an honest man”, looks like it fits here

If she talks about it, I think itll be the end of his campaign, he said.
I don't know how conservative Huntsman is or isn't but there is a lot of truth in that statement. Most of the time, conservatives can't be heard, either.
Huntsman is NOT a conservative. He maybe even be more liberal than Romney.
Who is he, anyway?
