This week at a tele-town hall hosted by Ralph Reeds Faith and Freedom Coalition, a caller asked Newt Gingrich if he would consider choosing former half-term Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.
Gingrich responded by saying that Palin is certainly one of the people you would look at and told the caller that he is a great admirer of hers.
"She is certainly one of the people you would look at. I am a great admirer of hers and she was a remarkable reform governor of Alaska, shes somebody who I think brings a great deal to the possibility of helping in government and that would be one of the possibilities."
"There are also some very important Cabinet positions that she could fill very, very well. I cant imagine anybody who would do a better job of driving us to an energy solution than Gov. Palin, for example. Tell her that she would certainly be on the list of one of the people we would consider."
I predicted she will be Newt’s Sec of Energy.
Sarah wouldn’t take it. I’d love the ticket! But she’s too busy being left alone by the media and making money.
Like I said in my other post the more I hear from Newt, the more I understand him and the more I like him. This Tea Party person supports Newt. GO NEWT!
Touch of Death
Me, too. Until Newt dissolves the department!
If she wants veep again, then ENDORSE NEWT NOW, gal!
If Gingrich can somehow convince Palin to say now ahead of time that should would accept, Gingrich will run away with this race, and they’ll be elected.
Governor Palin please shake this race up, and say you’d be honored to accept that nomination.
For all of us out here who have wanted you to run. For Gingrich, who’s being slimed.
Most of all, for our beloved America.
Please think about it. This would qualify as an unconventional move.
I think you are right. No VP. Energy Secretary... Think Newt will push ANWR, and Sarah P will be a good one to help implement since she is from there.
Is Sarah to be the bridesmaid yet again?
Don’t think she will settle for this “honor” twice, unless Newt releases her to campaign freely in her own inimitable style.
In which instance, she becomes Sarah Barracuda all over again. And that usually results in blood on the floor.
Somebody else’s.
I imagine a lot of the commie freeloaders in Willow, Alaska would love to see it. Many of them made some big bucks and even achieved celebrity status during the 2008 campaign.
Whoops! That’s Wasilla isn’t it. Willow never made the big time after they decided to keep the capitol in Juneau. LOL!
Oh geez. My hope-level just went up a little bit.
Lordy, I can see it now, The blue lipped bobble head and Hillary VS. Newt and Palin.
I’d like to see her as our new Secretary of Repeals.
Having Palin on Newt’s VP ticket would admittedly mitigate some of the queasiness I frankly get from the idea of Gingrich as nominee (and no, I’m not really trying to ‘slam’ Gingrich here; but I am pretty uncomfortable with him for a number of reasons).
Palin will endorse Gingrich...
I think she would accept Sec. of Energy, because she could so a lot of great work in a sector she has enthusiasm about.
Sarah is back to her roots...communications and journalism. It’s what she is. She likes to be dominant and answerable to no one. That’s her weak spot.
I wish she would take the Energy post, rescind all of the drastic regulations then propose to dissolve the department.
She wouldn’t take it. And if she is smart, she will stay as far away from Newt as possible. HE — is the touch of death. Sarah stayed out of this election for a reason. She COULD have run for the Presidential nomination. She doesn’t need to take a run at number two again.
Uh, we already tried that. Sarah would make a decent Secretary of Interior, as limg as she eliminates 80% of its personnel and budget.
