Unveiling what may become a central theme of his presidential campaign, Gov. Mitt Romney on Thursday blasted President Barack Obamas controversial decision to circumnavigate congressional approval of his three appointments to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) as yet another example that Obama is a crony capitalist and jobs killer.
At an event in Salem, New Hampshire, Mr. Romney laid out his case that Mr. Obama uses political appointments to reward his supportersin this case Big Laborand political cronies:

Yesterday the president did one more thing, an extraordinary thing, that convinces anybody who will go elsewhere that maybe they ought to go elsewhere. And that is that he said I ought to put more labor stooges on the National Labor Relations Board.
Mr. Obamas decision to appoint the controversial NLRB nominees was hailed by liberal Democrats like Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who said were glad that the President took the lead, went out there, it was bold and made the appointments.
Mr. Romney, however, saw Mr. Obamas NLRB recess appointments as further evidence of crony capitalism:
Capitalism, free enterprise works. Crony capitalism does not. This president has engaged and is engaging in crony capitalism. Its happening with the National Labor Relations Board where hes paying back the big unions that helped his campaign. This president is a crony capitalist. Hes a job killer.
Mr. Romneys crony capitalism attack appears to be part of a strategy to frame many of Mr. Obamas controversial decisions, such as his so-called green energy loans through the Department of Energys loan program, as forms of political payback to supporters and donors.
(The Huffington Post claims that Romney stole the attack on crony capitalism from Rep. Michele Bachmann, but in fact that attack was first launched by Gov. Sarah Palin on September 3, 2011, in Indianola, IA.)
At a 500-person rally in Charleston, South Carolina with Sen. John McCain, Mr. Romney said, The president said he wants to create green jobs. We misunderstood. He wants to give jobs to the people who gave him the green.
Indeed, as Peter Schweizers bestselling book, Throw Them All Out, revealed, of the $20 billion doled out through the Department of Energys loan program, 80 percent of the loans went to companies owned by or involved with Mr. Obamas top bundlers and donors.
Given Mr. Romneys use of the crony capitalism attack in both New Hampshire and South Carolina, it appears the Romney Campaign believes the strategy is striking a nerve with Republican primary voters.
Given the latest polls in those states, theyre right.
Unions need to be PROSECUTED, and NO ONE has the balls to say they would do so.
Yep, Communist unions are a real problem, especially all government employee unions.
President Eisenhower knew full well the danger, after railroad workers struck during WWII, so he built the Interstate Highway System for national defense,.... from the railroad unions.
Good Post 2dIDVet. In my opinion this is huge. This is the nut. When it comes to crony capitalism we (tea party) reacted first. OWS in a drug induced haze is reacting to the same thing. Its explained in even more cogent terms in this article

Sarah was on the verge of starting the engine when she spoke of crony capitalism. Its all fits together, smaller government, free and fair markets, success based on merits and freedom.
Don’t care if Romney is coming late to the party, if he says it enough and drives it home then we - the American people - win.
And the other Republicans better be singing it too.
Oh yeah, sing it, Mittens! LOLOL!
Excellent point. I believe it would have been a winning issue for Sarah, but can Romney sell this same rhetoric with a straight face?
Could Romney really ever conceivably be the standard-bearer for the critically important issue of "crony capitalism" and excess corporate influence (welfare) in our ever-expanding central government?
First Bachmann tries to steal Gov Palin`s issues, and now Mittens is attempting to do it as well
Mitt has paid off just about every Republican politician in every important primary state.
The media, which is *fully* complicit in our corrupt political system, doesn't like to cover it, but the New York Times had a piece on it a couple of months ago.
Excerpt:
But plenty of Mr. Romneys PAC money has gone to other candidates. Perhaps no state has benefited from Mr. Romneys generosity as much as New Hampshire, whose primary he is determined to win and where his political action committees have invested about $100,000 during the last two years.
Virtually no level of New Hampshire government has gone untouched by Mr. Romneys largess. Every Republican candidate for the State Senate received $1,000 last September, with cash also going to various other candidates, along with Republican county and town organizations.
The same is happening in other states.
Romney is buying them off. If he is paying off politicians, you can be sure he is being paid off himself. It's bribery. Like the rest of the politicians in Washington D.C., his allegiance will be to the special interests whose money got him elected, not the people.
We cannot fix our broken economy and government until we fix our broken political system.
STOP ROMNEY NOW!!!
(Santorum is the one everyone -- especially the Tea Party -- needs to rally around.) .
Aping?
APING?
Romney ain’t no ape anything!
Romney is not even as real as a sock monkey!
