Now, not only did I tell you that the Broncos were gonna beat the Steelers, for months I have been telling you that the Democrats want Romney -- and you all know it. You've been listening here and you've heard people call me and tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, that I'm full of it, that they're scared of Romney. "Romney is the only guy who can win." And I have said, "No," and I've stood tough, and I've said, "They can't wait for him. What's Occupy Wall Street all about but running against Romney? He's the Wall Street guy on our roster -- and then Romneycare," and I've laid it all out. So here comes Palin, she says it, and makes news -- and Donna Brazile has said it. This is post-debate coverage on ABC Saturday night. George Stephanopoulos, Democrat Party hack disguised as the debate moderator on ABC, had this discussion with Jon Karl and Donna Brazile.
BRAZILE: Mitt Romney won tonight because no one touched him -- and for Democrats, you know what? It was good news for us.
KARL: Why is that?
BRAZILE: Because we believe that the weakest candidate is the candidate that the Republicans are not attackin', and that's Mitt Romney.
KARL: Oh, come on.
STEPHANOPOULOS: No, you don't believe that, Donna.
RUSH: That's Stephanopoulos. What Stephanopoulos is saying is, "Shut up, Donna! What the hell are you doing, Donna? Did you not take your meds?" That, "Come on, Donna, what are you doing? You know you don't believe that" means, "Donna, shut up." You know, she's feeling her oats there. So Palin has come out say it it and Donna Brazile saying it. "Oh, yeah, the one guy not being attacked..." She practically gleeful here, and I'll tell you why she's gleeful. She's gleeful because what she sees is Romney getting the nomination, so she thinks it's okay to blow the lid off this cover now. "Mitt Romney won tonight, because no one touched him -- and for Democrats that's good news for us." Stephanopoulos says, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Why is that?" I guarantee she had a talking to. They had a talking to with her with her after this, because that's a major faux pas. The line that's supposed to come out of the Democrat Party is they're scared of Romney. The line is, "Oh, no, they don't want to face Romney. Romney is the toughest guy." That's the line, and they know, folks -- the Democrats know that our experts are stupid enough to believe that the Democrats will be honest and tell us who they really don't want to face. I'll tell you who they don't want to face when we come back.

RUSH: The Democrats are afraid of any candidate they have sought to destroy. You can start with Sarah Palin, you can move on to Santorum. Any -- any conservative who showed any interest -- the Democrats set out to destroy. That's who they're genuinely afraid of. I wish someone could watch that segment CLOSELY again...as I recall, she purposefully WINKED at someone seated to her right, just as she made that remark...I wish someone could screen capture it...it made me wonder “WTF”? when I saw it.......Anyone else see that wink?
If Romney is the Republican nominee, a whole lot of conservatives will vote 3rd party, or write in, or not vote at all and that is the ONLY chance that Obama has of winning and the Dems KNOW IT
I saw the wink. She was very happy, and knew what she was saying. They are thrilled with the thought of Mitt Romney. They have spent millions on it and are heavily invested in the OWS movement, and the 99 and 1 % talking points. They can’t wait to talk about Bain Capitol and the evil Wall Street Candidate. And Rush is a smart man, but I was saying this even before he was. So what are we going to do about it. We better get it together soon or it will be too late. Newt, or the too Ricks are what is left. For me I will cast my lot with Newt, because he can out think and out perform President Obama. The others I am not so sure of.

Romney is Obama-lite and there are just too many people out there who will refuse to wear clothespins on their noses again and go vote for the Rino that the Republican establishment tells them they have to vote for. THAT will allow Obama to win! Why the heck do you think the “Dems Want to Run Against Romney”? Is it because Obama is a winner? NO! They know that virtually any Republican can beat Obama..... unless too many conservatives refuse to vote for the Republican candidate. And Romney is the recipe for that to happen.
Romney has the best chance of defeating Obama.Newt has too much baggage and can be negatively unpredictable. Romney is a very smart man who has demonstrated excellent judgement in private and public life.Santorum is a fine man of great character and intelligence but can’t win.Gov. Perry is an excellent Gov.,but a terrible debater. Romney would easily defeat Obama when they meet for debate.

Much as I dislike Romney, why would any Conservative trust what Donna Brazile says? Its not like she’ll give the ‘Pubbies GOOD advice or try to help them win.
I just don’t understand why Rush thinks Donna is such a friggin’ genius. I think this is a perfect case of trying to be too clever by half.

The Republicans as posted by another member of Free Republic are planning on running Jeb Bush in 2016 and a Republican being elected in 2012 would throw a monkey wrench into that. In addition, the Republican Party, as evidenced by its past actions, the Speaker of the House in particular, does not believe that we, as a Nation, are in a crisis.Also the same individuals who control the Democrat Party also control the Republican Party. Thus we still maintain a continual march toward Socialism no matter which Party holds power.

But, we need to take a good look at him and his stance on issues. I have to assume since he has been in the military for a long time, he might not be as corrupted with liberalism as the current officer corp. The current batch of candidates, like the ones four years ago, do not really stand out as a 1). a leader 2). a true conservative 3). clean background 4). has a set of cajones that he did not borrow from his wife.
I would really like to hear your thoughts on this issue.

From the beginning I thought, “no way in hell Mitt wins in SC”, but then Haley came out and endorsed him and even worse, traveled to New Hampshire to stump for him. There is a full court press in SC. My sister (in SC) told me her mailbox is full of Romney material and it has been coming for the last week. Given the fix is in with the SC GOP coupled with SC being an open primary (Dems can vote in GOP primary) Mitt has a real shot to take three out of the first three contests.
Those are last week’s talking points from the Mainly Slime Media. You can give them a rest now and find out the truth. We must stop parroting the leftists’ opinions of our Conservative candidates. They all have records to be examined, so long as you don’t get the information from leftist “news” sources.
It worked againts McLame. Running a deep RINO worked to depress the conservative base and hand the election to the Democratic Party.
But it isn’t going to work this time. This year, Obama is not running against the GOP. He is running against the economy and he is losing.

Newt allied himself with Ronald Reagan to build the Reagan Coalition, the Religious Right, and the Republican majority (together the Reagan Revolution) which directly led the downfall of the Soviet Union, the Contract with America, government reforms, less government, tax cuts, a balanced budget, and the great, long-standing Reagan economy.
Romney, on the other hand, vehemently denied Ronald Reagan and aligned himself with Ted Kennedy and the left. Romney accomplished installing liberal big government programs, defended and promoted Roe v Wade and legalized abortion as “settled law,” advocated and implemented RomneyCare with its liberty killing government mandates against formerly free citizens and its taxpayer funded or subsidized and mandated abortion procedures. He ran and governed to the left of Ted Kennedy on the “gay agenda” resulting in gay marriage in Massachusetts. He appointed liberal judges and liberal appointees throughout his government. Under his “leadership” conservatism and the Republican party was all but destroyed in Massachusetts.
