“Four years from now, Senator Rand Paul will probably run for POTUS. Watch closely this year, and compare what you see to what Rand will be saying 4 years from now.”

I live in Kentucky and voted for Rand Paul, but I can assure you.......no one from Kentucky is going to get elected president.

The purpose of this thread is to encourage thought on the effect Ron Paul will have on the Republican Party in this watershed National Election, and beyond.

Win, lose or draw, each Candidate has a effect on the Party, to a greater or lesser degree.

My question to all of you is:

“What effect do YOU predict will be made, temporary or permanent, by the Campaign of Ron Paul on the Republican Party?

From what I see so far, there is a lot of quiet support among the voters for Ron Paul, and a lot of emotion against Ron Paul by everybody else.

My intent is to set aside emotion and ponder what effect Dr. Paul will have on a truly sorry, spineless, Republican Party leadership, especially in Congress.

BTW, if the Republican Nominee wins the Presidency, but has the same ideas as Obama, then who has actually “won?”
