This is a lie started by Mother Jones that has been repeatedly debunked. Newt’s wife NEVER had cancer, SHE asked him for a divorce PRIOR to having a biopsy done on a benign tumor. And Newt took her daughters to the hospital so that they could be with during this tough time.
Newt apparently didn't do right financially by his second wife or she wouldn't have spilled her guts to the media recently, claiming he asked for an open marriage so he could share time with the woman who became wife number three. I certainly fault a man for his stupidity if he doesn't pay wife number two enough to shut her mouth. That's my position and I'm standing on it.
In other words, dear Jesus please send us a decent candidate will you please?
