Despite a hard-charging speech over the weekend that suggested dissatisfaction with the Republican presidential primary frontrunner, Sarah Palin said Sunday that Mitt Romney "is a great candidate."
But the 2008 vice presidential candidate and Tea Party darling isn't yet convinced Romney is "instinctively" a constitutional conservative.
"I am not convinced and I don't think that the majority of GOP and independent voters are convinced," Palin told "Fox News Sunday." "And that is why you don't see Romney get over the hump. He's still in the 30-percentile mark when it comes to approval and primary wins and caucus wins. He still hasn't risen above that yet because we are not convinced."
Offering a keynote speech to the Conservative Political Action Committee on Saturday, Palin said Republicans need a candidate who is instinctively conservative because it's too late to be taught the fundamentals.
Elaborating on Sunday, Palin said she believes Romney is still "evolving" as a conservative after five years on the campaign trail and millions of dollars spent. But, she added, that's a high hurdle for all the candidates to demonstrate.
"He still needs to be able to articulate what his solutions are to the challenges facing America -- but not just Mitt. All four of them," she said....

I am in severe agreement with her about Romney not being a convincing conservative.
I was getting so angry that I was going to leave President “blank”. Contemplating Obama putting Supreme Court Justices on the bench made me reconsider.
LMAO!!

Over all this primary season, I cannot remember any solution or policy statement from Romney that stands out as unique and conservative.
All I can remember are his attacks on the other candidates who actually have several accomplishments in their background that conservatives can appreciate.
It's psyop meme crap. It's supposed to make you associate "severe" with "non-RINO." Romney's a RINO, and so all the Leftist spinners are neurolinguistically reframing the idea of being a weasly, oily, two-faced crypto-communist sabotageur into... well, into a good thing.
See, it's just a matter of what "value system" you "choose" to apply as "appropriate" in any given situation, based on your own "personal evaluation process," which NLP teaches is largely made up of how weighted words influences your feelings in the matter.
What all of humanity calls "manipulative mindf****ing," Leftist NLPers call a "value-added skillset."
So according to their calculations, when you hear the word "severe," you will reject the full application of whatever concept comes after it, in this case "conservative," and then seek a "middle ground, win-win situation," which of course is Mitt's RINOism. And then. emotionally satisfied by his "enabling of your need," you vote for him, and he throws the election to Obama or Hillary.
And that, my FRiend, is the actual reason Mittens said the word "severe."
Really.
"... the finest trial and fairest hanging." should be "... the fairest trial and finest hanging." -- to paraphrase the great fictional Rooster Cogburn.
