I wouldn’t get overly excited about national polls. While they aren’t discouraging, it’s a handful of key swing state polls that mostly matter: Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Indiana, and, possibly Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan,
Problem for Obama is most people will tune out for Summer and not tune back into politics until Sept./ Oct. So all the negative ads won’t be effective until then.
And in the meantime, Obama goes and gets people’s attention by announcing a position on gay marriage, of all things, which most people oppose.
The more Obama talks the more he sinks. Same thing happened with his pushing Obamacare.
I have to be a little cautious. I don’t think they contact cell phones and that’s what most of the younger folks use exclusively. (that’s all I have, a cheap $30 Net 10 phone)

The author missed one obvious and important point: this was a poll of registered no likely voters, so it underestimates Romney’s lead by 2-3 extra points.

Fox and Friends had a black representative on this morning ... sorry, can’t remember his name and he was aghast at Obama’s approval of gay marriage.
He was REALLY disturbed by it. But when asked if he would support Obama, of course, he said yes.
As he so eloquently put it, ‘somebody has to be president and I don’t know much about Romney.’ Duh.
Something was said about black voters staying home but that wasn’t pursued.
I’m looking forward to a Romney presidency. I think it will be great. The man is smart, a good businessman and smart enough to pick capable people for his staff.
