MSNBCs Chris Jansing wondered aloud Friday morning why President Barack Obama is being so quiet about his fundraising numbers.
Following Thursdays Supreme Court ruling upholding Obamas health care law, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romneys presidential campaign took in a whopping $4.3 million in under 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Obamas campaign has been almost completely silent, with spokesman Ben LaBolt mysteriously gloating to reporters, Weve outraised the Romney campaign in that time period but thats not the point, according to The Huffington Posts Sam Stein. LaBolt wouldnt share any specific numbers Friday morning.
The Obama camp has not released fundraising figures since the ruling. Do you think, Chris, theyre not revealing it because theres not that much money coming in? Jansing asked guest Chris Kofinis during her program.
Or, Jansing threw out, I dont know, maybe its pouring in and they dont want potential donors to think they dont need to give because theyre already getting so much. Whats going on there?
Kofinis, a Democratic strategist, responded that the Obama campaign was quiet about the fundraising numbers because to the president, and to the Democrats, this wasnt about politics.
That Soros check hasn’t come in yet.

I think US investors millions to his campaign take some planning and time to sneak in.
Yeah, because the Obama campaign is raking in soooooo much $$, they haven’t been able to count it all yet. /s

"Let's see...should we add 6 zeroes or 7? $60 million sounds believable. Yeah. We'll tell everyone we raised $60 million!"
.....to the president, and to the Democrats, this wasnt about politics.....
Yea - that's it - that's the tickets!!!
Like a trip to Paris. July 4th. B there. 0bama will.
Terrorist attack here, anyone? Canape?
I don;t know if this is related, but yesterday afternoon one of my employees came in and told me he got a call from his friend who gave him a routing and account number and said that if you call a certain number and give them your cell phone number, the amount of your bill and the other information he had, Obama would pay his cell phone bill.
So being incredulous, I said let’s call your cell phone carrier and ask. So we did and the lady on the phone said that they have been getting hammered with calls on that all day. She said no, it will not have Obama pay your phone bill. What it will do is give permission for the phone carrier to add a charge against your cell phone bill in the exact amount of your monthly bill (so you will pay double) this additional amount is then donated to the Obama campaign.
Talk about targeting the poor. These people barely make it paycheck to paycheck and now because of some campaign scam they no doubled one of their bills. Yet they probably will still vote for him.
The Obama Phone Program

They not only have free cell phones - and a heckava lot fancier’n mine - they can now buy cigarettes with their welfare cards -
Tell me how insane that is -
Part of it may be a plan to cement his power base (any Dem pol who wants campaign funding has to see the Obama campaign, who will freeze out any pols that are not part of the Obama clique), but part of it may be that Obama WANTS to win, and doesn't care if the rest of the Dems lose, as long as it doesn't hurt HIS power structure.
ya know what’s even funnier..
I was doing a service call at a store that is always “on target” if you know what I mean.
Gal comes through with her kid. Normal groceries go by.. She swipes here EBT card..
Cashier asks for a buck something in cash.
Gal looks confused.
Cashier points out that the small bag of candy she grabbed because her son was a good boy during the shopping trip was not covered by food stamps.
I just laughed out loud.. “You can buy smokes with a ebt card but not a small bag of candy??”
I asked the boy if he had really been good. He nodded yes and his mother agreed.
I gave the cashier the 2 bucks.
Insanity it is.
Nor the overseas CC contributions to the 2008 campaign.
