"Mitt Romney left the GOP during that Reagan campaign and switched to independent and didn’t vote for Reagan."

You have fallen for misinformation. Romney, who is not a career politician, was involved in the private sector and in raising his family during the Reagan era. Furthermore, Romney has stated that he voted for Ronald Reagan both times and that he was only registered as an Independent because in Massachusetts, Independents are allowed to vote in either the Republican or Democratic primaries, a common practice in Massachusetts, found useful in helping nominate more moderate Democrats.

Don’t try to spread that junk here.

Romney is a career politician with 20 years of running for office.

Romney’s father was a three time liberal Governor, and a liberal, anti-war GOP Presidential candidate while Mitt was avoiding the draft in France, Mitt’s mom was a pro-abortion candidate for the Senate in 1970.

Mitt was with his father when he staged a formal protest against the conservative wing of the GOP at the 1964 convention nominating Goldwater, with Reagan speaking and stormed out of the convention.

Reagan and Mitt’s dad ran against each other in 1968, right versus left.

Mitt left the GOP in 1979 and became an Independent because of Reagan and is on tape saying he wasn’t for “Reagan/Bush”, Romney eventually came to supporting, donating to, and fund raising for only democrat candidates and was still fund raising for Planned Parenthood after he reregistered republican in October of 1993 after having voted for Paul Tsongas for President in 1992, which Redstate says means he became registered as a Democrat, not just as an Independent.

Take your “misinformation” and try to peddle it elsewhere.
