When was the last time a president literally gave our country to the dogs?

WEll, 3 out of 85+ posts with a bit of sanity -

It is becoming increasingly clear that the venerable FR forum is being corroded from within - with deep-seated and evil hatred that is bubbling to the surface...

at the bottom, in the mire, seems to be irrational, ignorant, pontifical, self-righteousness by those holier than the rest of us who truly believe they, and they alone, know that the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of LAtter Day Saints do not believe in Jesus Christ and are dark demons determined to rule the world.

I do believe FR is in danger of being destroyed from within - by allowing this visceral hatred to take over the forum.

Sad.

Better question: When was the last president that didn't?

Let's start with the present and go backwards:

So, all of the presidents in my political life have been giving our country to the dogs. Maybe "failure to secure the border" could be more descriptive but it is itself adequate given that is one of the two legitimate functions of government:

  1. Protect the people from external threat as much as practical: foreign armies, famine, etc.
  2. Promote justice within the land.
