This is great news as everything points to a resounding victory by Ted Cruz in this election, but Establishment candidate David Dewhurst hasnt given up, and his campaign of lies and slander has been infused with more outsider cash. With Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint rallying the troops, the excitement for true Conservative leadership in Washington will continue to grow.
National Journal adds:
Ted Cruz will kick off the final weekend before the Texas Republican Senate runoff at a rally with Sarah Palin in the Houston area on Friday evening, his campaign announced on Wednesday.
It will be rare campaign trail appearance by the former vice presidential nominee, who endorses in congressional races from time to time, but rarely travels to stump on behalf of her preferred candidate.
South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, as well as local and national tea party leaders, will also attend the GOTV rally at the Woodlands, north of Houston.
Palin endorsed Cruz in May, before the May 31 primary in which the former state solicitor general forced frontrunning Lt. Governor David Dewhurst into a runoff, which will take place on Tuesday.
The race has pitted Palin opposite Texas Gov. Rick Perry who is backing Dewhurst, the candidate whose millions of dollars and high name ID once made him look like the inevitable successor to retiring Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.
But a strong effort from Cruz and backing from well-funded national conservative groups have kept him in the game. Signs that he is poised to pull off the upset are abound this week. Palins decision to travel to Texas is the latest one.

Welcome back to Texas, ma’am. :)
Enjoy your stay!
Good news!!
They will be about 7 miles from my house and it will be 93 degrees with heat index of 99 and 20% chance of rain.
This time last year the actual temp was between 105-107 every day.
Hope Cruz wins.
God Bless the Tea Party and Ted Cruz! I’m signing up to help during the 72 hour blitz..gave three contributions. and I’m from Wisconsin.
I remember how we appreciated all the help we got for Scott Walker from ALL around the country.
Don't you love this Establishment candidate David Dewhurst. LOL! No longer the GOP candidate but the Establishment candidate!
Go Conservative Cruz!
We were happy to give it and happy he stayed in office.
Did you catch the flashes of anger on that RINO’s face the other night at the debate?...several times...very telling.
Perry and his RINO elitist GOP-E chosen candidate can go pound sand. Can’t wait til Cruz wins and wipes that smarmy smile off of all of their faces, but especially dear David’s.
No, didn’t watch. I only know about liverwurst through these threads. There is nothing better to read how conservatives are sticking up LOUDLY for their own and calls the maggot what he is - an Establishment Candidate. That says it all.
Help is always appreciated ma’am!
We willow make the long 20 mile trek down there from Montgomery. Lol
A miserable two-hour drive, to and fro. Standing around for a few hours in humid, 100-degree temperatures. Suffocating amidst a big, loud crowd. A hellish nightmare of a traffic jam to navigate through. All to see and hear Sarah Palin?
Heck, yeah! Count me in. I’m going! Wouldn’t endure anything remotely like that for any other political figure. But, Palin? Absolutely.
