Sarah Palin was in the title of the thread, it was a positive Sarah Palin thread.

Am just so used to so many anti Palin folks here, that go out of their way to counter any positive mention of Gov Palin.

Sorry if I lumped you in with the anti Palin crowd, you are probably one of her biggest supporters :)

I supported Palin when she ran for Vice-President in ‘08. Before that, she ran for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, a few times, I think, and for governor of Alaska once, but I was not a resident there, so I had no opinion on those races.

The R ballot has only the Pubbie candidates. The D ballot has only Rat candidates. The Libertarian ballot has only, frankly, detritus, but no Rs or Ds.

I trust that that is clear enough for you.

That is how it works in Florida but it is also not an open primary state. If those in Missouri are stupid enough to fall for the open primary ruse, then that just opens the door for other goofy stuff as well. Just wanted to make sure before blasting those Pubbies who opted to vote Democrat for a Sheriffs race and bypass the most important one for the Senate. Geez, just how many warts in the Missouri voting laws were exposed by the use of the word illegitimate?

If the Democrat Sherrif is doing such a good job and needs Republican voters to keep his office, draft him to the Republican Party. If he refuses, let nature take its course. He might feel differently come the next election. The sorry thing about all of it is where are the viable candidates from the Republican side? If that county is so beholden to Democrats, then you are essentially screwed no matter which way you vote.

This is practically all water under the bridge to a point. And I doubt Mrs. Palin would bother to say such a comment.

Now that Akin is still in, what's a Conservative, or for that matter, a Republican, in MO to do? Pout and whine, like a typical elite Republican, and let McCaskill (and the Dems and the O) get away with a win in their state?

Now that Akin has resolved to stay in, I hope and pray that Conservative Missourians and the Akin's campaign figures out a way to turn things around and turn it around fast.

Frankly, the first thing Akin really needs now is a better advisor for image and damage control.

The problem here isn’t the question of Akin’s conservatism; it’s his ability to put his foot in his mouth!

One of the most important qualities a politician must possess is knowing what to say and when to say it.
