Good point. Thanks for expounding.
In states without actively enforced Voter ID laws, it won't matter. Registered voters in those districts WILL vote for Obama, either in person, or by proxy as somebody else votes in their name as groups get bussed from poll to poll and handed a slip with who they are supposed to be in this polling place.
Much of this sounds like the conversation I overheard standing in line at my local Liquor store deep inside the “Hood” recently.
Two gentlemen of color were in line behind me and watching the Dem. convention they had up on the TV.
They basically both agreed that “That brother’s got to go, ..he ain’t done noth’n”.
It warmed my heart. :)
Sociopaths don’t like to lose.
I agree with the idea that the black community would sit at home rather than vote against him.
Children of military servicemembers have to relocate to different schools on average about every 3-4 years. Millions have done so and many are very successful, well-adjusted adults.

"The Think Squad confirmed what Ive been hearing through friends whose families know Marion Robinson, the current First Grandmother and Michelles mother: the Obamas and those close to them are preparing to decamp to Honolulu, Hawaii and live out his post-presidency in the post suburb of Kailua. This is Hawaiis Beverly Hills. The Think Squad had a great time mocking the hula and pretending to sip mai-tais and pina-coladas as they regaled me with all the things Marions been bragging-on about the house she expects to live in come January when the Obamas depart the White House and Marion comes with them. Theyll still have servants, Secret Service guards, a chef, and almost all of the amenities they enjoy now. But it will be a permanent vacation mode instead of the short bursts of paradise these people experienced on their many jaunts to Hawaii over the last four years before their usual return to Washington. But now, they wont ever have to go back to DC and Marion is especially gleeful that they wont be coming back to Chicago ever, either."
The house in Hawaii that Penny Pritzger is supposedly buying the Obamas, has a public 360 panaview app here. You can walk through the house and view every gorgeous inch of it.
When this 360 view app is pulled -- not just pulled but scrubbed -- from the internet, you'll know this story has legs.
BTW, I'm hard to please when it comes to houses, and this house is perfect.
wow! Ping
At $35 million, it ought to be! So he’ll live like a deposed dictator for the rest of his life, huh?
Just beware it’s Hillbuzz. They’re democrats first. I remember kidding myself that they were going to be right about all of the Hillary supports coming out to vote against obama. I ignored the polls to a degree because they were assuring people that they had inside info about the millions of Hillary supporters who were going to vote for McCain.
Temendous post! Can you provide the link for more info on the move at the end of the story?
The Think Squad echoes the (unspoken) thoughts of the black libs in my own family. None of them are crowing about The One, like they were four years ago. Most of them don’t even mention his name anymore.
I’m pretty sure a substantial number of them won’t even make it to the polls in November. They really are that disillusioned.
Everyone I'm related to is A) Black, and B) voted for Obama in 2008. Tell you what, though. None of them have a Zero sticker on their car, and not a single one of them has worn an Obama t-shirt since he was elected.
The Chicago Think Squad is telling it like it is. There's a ton of disillusionment about Obama among blacks. They may not vote for Romney, but a significant percentage are going to have a hard time dragging themselves to the polls in November.
I was a military brat, too. From K through 6th grade, I attended over ten different schools. From the time I was born, we moved every year and a half, on average. Sometimes I went to two different schools during the time we were in one house.
I think all that traveling made me more well-rounded as a person, and kept me from developing what I call the 'village mentality'. To this day, I've got a naturally wider perspective than most people I know. Like you, I survived it just fine.

I believe you because you have up close and person experience (and I've read your posts here at FR over the years). I agree that many people will not be voting for Romney but rather will be staying home.
I have to ask: do you believe any of the other parts of this piece about The Chicago Think Squad? I'm not so sure I do.
That kind of life truly does open doors, opportunties, and an incredibly sense of understanding and appreciation for what it means to be an American and to live the life of freedom and liberty that, at least-for the most part-we've all enjoyed until now.
Earlier this year, I had the privilege to travel to Tanzania, Africa. OMG! What an incredible experience! Yes, once I returned, I just could not help but be overcome, overwhelmed with the sense and appreciation of all that life has given me, being born and raised AN AMERICAN! My gosh! There is so much love, admiration, inspiration, and awe in being known as AN AMERICAN! My goodness, I'm so honored, so appreciative, so thankful!
Two other points ring true to me, A) that most blacks have figured out that Obama swings both ways, and B) that he hasn't done anything to improve conditions for blacks.
I think those two observations are pretty widespread.
