There is nothing short of a 40 hour movie that could possibly cover all the details in the book.
You can’t cover every detail, but there are certain expectations. It would be breaking an unwritten contract with the audience (that read the book) not to show what I mentioned, for instance. Not that I have a claim upon their laborious to shoot the scenes. But if they want people to come to the third one, they must meet certain expectations.
