CNN contributor Roland Martin

".... For the president, I think it actually helps him a little bit more, because remember he's a sitting president. He gets to be be presidential. He might have to tour these areas, talk to residents, declare emergency areas as well."

He might have to tour these areas, talk to residents, declare emergency areas as well."

So, basically, he'll just be doing the minimum for his job--in a bunch of states that typically go blue anyway.

Hate to say it, but a storm hurts Obama. What I would be looking for is unions in cities where there are power problems being told not to do anything so voting will have to be postponed.

But seriously, if the storms are affecting cities like Philly, Richmond, Camden, Trenton and Newark, traditionally people from the inner cities do not come out and vote. There is a reason Republicans hope for rain on election day.

However what makes this whole thing a fustercluck is there are going to be hundreds of lib lawyers out there filing disenfranchisement lawsuits that Obama’s core constituency could not vote. Get ready to hear about Karl Rove’s secret weather machine.

Hurricane Sandy is a Democrat?

According to one lib poster on another forum: ""This is in response to the GOP war on women. Mother Nature got P.O.'d and sent daughter Sandy to teach a lesson.""

Posted in the comments on a local paper in response to an article about local closings and cancellations.

Sometimes it feels as if our regular lives have been stolen and now absolutely everything “matters” only in so much as it can be used to help Obama.

We KNOW who 0bama is and it’s too late to change that.

It will be a case of too little, too late. Obama walking around with a fake look of concern on his face after a natural disaster won’t be enough to wipe out the memories of four years of man-made economic disaster.

Forgetting the mental sickness of the CNN commentator, he’s full of it.

Statese heavily effected will be Deep Blue. He has their vote. Obama will advise them to suck lemons and vote like they’re told, he’s busy agitating crowds in swing states.

Hurricane Katrina did not help Bush. Why would this storm help Obama?

That line caught my eye, too.

“He might HAVE to”? He might HAVE to tour the area? Might HAVE to *shudder* talk to people? Oh, the horrors! How dare you wussies on the east coast inconvenience Dear Leader with your silly little hurricane! Now he’s going to have to descend from Mr. Olympus, mingle with the peasants and pretend he gives two farts.

How sick is this, using natural disaster (or American loss of life or propert damage) for politics?
*******
It’s not much different from how the media cites even the slightest improvement in economic numbers as being helpful to Obama first and foremost. His future is perceived as paramont over the societal impact of massive unemployment, ever rising energy prices and economic stagnation in this country. Re-electing Obama is all that matters to the corrupt media, not the Forgotten Man.

Guys -

Who in a storm and a storm’s aftermath is least able to conduct their lives?

To whatever extent Obama has a chance to be presidential and throwing emergency money around, is the extent to which poor communities were crippled by the storm and didn’t vote.

Sandy is a Conservative and she’s not going to vote with her lady parts.

Naw—its too much work for the Bam. Touring his ‘locked in vote northeast’ while OH, WI, IA. and other swing states are still out there plus golf, ehehehehe. Maybe he helped ‘cause’ the storm. Could God be saying, ‘wake up’? I dunno—just sayin’....

There truly is a sense of desperation among the mainstream media... They are having a difficult time coming to terms with the reality that they have failed to report over the past four years. Obama is a Socialist and a Liberal and his presidency has been a disaster from the very beginning until what will hopefully be the the end of his tenure in January.

His one great accomplishment... The killing of Bin Laden was a news story that lasted about a week or two.

Other than that, his presidency has been complete ineptness. Of course, this was completely predictable. The man probably didn’t even expect that he would be the president. It was a collision of pure luck that a Jr. Senator who’s only previous accomplishment was attaining a law degree, could ascend to the highest office in the land. But the mainstream press turned on Hillary and he actually became the Democrat nominee and then he ran against John McCain, a man who was ill suited to be President and voila... He actually got the job.

That was all the easy part, after that he actually had to ‘be’ the President and he figured that through the power of his personality he could convince America that Socialism wasn’t all that bad, and that having a Liberal (a word made dirty enough by Reagan that Clinton and and every other Democrat nominee after Reagan claimed they weren’t) as President was something that America was willing to accept.

He was wrong, and the American people will show the mainstream media and Obama what they think of Liberalism and Socialism on November 6th. They will not tolerate it.

The media will blame it on racism... In reality, Americans are not prone to Socialism and Liberalism and they never will be.

I'll see you hear later (long after election) to see this is media and NOA (or whatever gov agency) lies. Katrina which i was there for had a 32 foot storm surge how will this “100 year storm” compare? It won't be anything. We'll see after the election when we see behind the fake reports that this wasn't anything. the media did this with the BP oil “greatest disaster ever” and then it suddenly disappeared ( where is the lasting environmental damage or any damage?) where is the bp disaster now? I live here on the Gulf( the media lied).

I don't understand all this nonsense about the storm affecting the polls. The storm is happening on Oct. 30, a full WEEK BEFORE the election. Even after the surprise snowstorm on Oct. 30th last year, that dumped over a foot of snow on Central MA, when power was out for several days, schools and businesses were up and running after 3 or 4 days.

There will be absolutely no disruption of the election by THIS storm. I can't say what will happen on Nov. 6th, weather-wise, but I do predict there WILL be an Electoral Storm that takes out the Obama Administration. ;o)
