It’s hard - literally and figuratively - to look past that vile woman but note the man’s placard at right. Good Jobs Now, it says.
To him I say:
We give you housing. You trash it and make it a hive of drug activity.
We give you food/food stamps. You buy junk or convert funds for improper purposes.
We give you phones. Enough said.
We give you education. You fail to attend and/or expend any effort whatsoever.
We give you police protection. You oppose the cops and blame them for enforcing the law when a crime is committed.
You are given everything. The only thing missing is a silver platter.
But you still want more. You want a Good Job Now. What have you done to earn or prepare for it? What are your work habits like? What about your writing and speaking skills? Are you computer literate? Do you believe that such questions are racist? What, exactly, do you regard as a Good Job and why would an employer prefer you over someone else?
I know that there are no real answers to these questions, just as the Good Jobs Now crew want nothing to do with working 40+ hours per week, being punctual and respecting peers, customers and managers.
Good Jobs Now? How about study, obey the law and show up on time? No sale? Then shut up.
