The Democrats wanted it to be Hillary, but Benghazi is threatening that if Hillary winds up with the blood of Chris Stevens on her hands.

The Democrats have a long history of doing whatever it takes to ensure that the claim to "First..." falls only to Democrats.

• First Female Vice-President Candidate: Geraldine Ferraro.
• First Black Supreme Court Justice: Thurgood Marshall nominated by LBJ.
• First Female Supreme Court Justice: somehow, they let Reagan nominate Sandra Day O'Conner.
• First Hispanic Supreme Court Justice: the Democrats went to war to prevent Bush nominee Miguel Estrada from stealing this one from them.
• First Black House/Senate members: this one goes to Republicans after Reconstruction, so nobody talks about it.
• First Black President: Barack Obama
• First Female President: ??? You KNOW what the Democrats would do if it looked like it could be a Repbublican.
