Karl Rove’s SuperPAC creating new group aimed at helping establishment candidates in GOP primaries

We knew this was coming, no? A month ago, Politico reported that Senate Republicans were planning to intervene more aggressively in GOP primaries in hopes of clearing the field for their preferred candidates. A few days later, Steve LaTourette announced that the Republican Main Street Partnership was dropping “Republican” from its name and would intervene on behalf of centrist candidates from both parties in congressional elections. Now here comes Rove’s group, American Crossroads, pledging untold millions towards electing the most allegedly “electable” candidate in Republican primaries. No more Akins — and maybe no more Marco Rubios, Rand Pauls, and Ted Cruzes too?

The group, the Conservative Victory Project, is intended to counter other organizations that have helped defeat establishment Republican candidates over the last two election cycles. It is the most robust attempt yet by Republicans to impose a new sense of discipline on the party, particularly in primary races.

“There is a broad concern about having blown a significant number of races because the wrong candidates were selected,” said Steven J. Law, the president of American Crossroads, the “super PAC” creating the new project. “We don’t view ourselves as being in the incumbent protection business, but we want to pick the most conservative candidate who can win.”…

The group’s plans, which were outlined for the first time last week in an interview with Mr. Law, call for hard-edge campaign tactics, including television advertising, against candidates whom party leaders see as unelectable and a drag on the efforts to win the Senate...

Rove and the rest of the GOPee elite RINO establishment do not want to win anything any more. Because . . . leadership is hard! They want to rule Americans jointly with the socialist/Marxists. They believe the Donkeys will permit them power and perks if they become the willing lapdogs of the Donkeys. Think: Bob Michael (R-IL) when he was Minority Leader of the House. Michael didn't care about being in a minority as long as he got his invites to golf, parties, a good press in the MSM, and his perks. Typical RINO prostitute that would roll over to the Donkeys on cue.

A shameful waste of money - spend the funds instead on providing training to candidates in media performance and handling the questions they know the MSM are going to throw at them - like abortions and rape - and the party will be ‘way ahead...’.

Rule of thumb: If Rove and his group are for a particular candidate, that candidate should be avoided like the plague.

Carl Rove and his ilk should not be telling Republicans/Conservatives how to run their elections....he was so very wrong on most accounts in the last one. In the words of RR ""We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan

I really don't want Mr. Rove telling me anything and I REALLY don't want O'Reilly, another who helped sink the GOP, telling me "everyone knows Hillary will run for president....she is the most poplar woman in America" All these know-it-all moderates will lose us the House by their arrogant and moderate pronouncements.

folks there ARE candidate schools. These are usually one to two day weekend courses that cover almost everything you would want to know about managing and running for office.

They even have a magazine. “campaigns and elections” or some such name.

As many conservatives as possible should attend. DO NOT be squeemish about attending a course sponsored by the league of women voters. The information is valuable either way.
