One thing I’ve noticed about the GOP. Bitch slap them a couple of times and they’ll cower in a corner and do what ever you want. That’s how the democrats have controlled them for years.

Has anyone else noticed how these people keep referring to themselves as 'stars'?

Get a grip, journalistas.

I think it is quite clear that the country club RHINOS are in it for their own personal enrichment.

You got it. That's why they consistently throw the presidential races. They don't want the presidency. The presidency means the Republicans would be accountable.

The GOPe wants House and Senate seats. Being a legislator means that you get to exercise unaccountable power. You get lots of lobbyists providing you with pretty girls (or boys), and boxes of cash, wining and dining you all year long. You get invited to nice parties. Being a legislator is cool, especially if control of the legislature is close enough that your vote would make a difference.

Beyond that, they don't care. The GOPe has no ideology but money.

Rove is on a perpetual hyper-ego high. He could give a rat’s ass about conservatism. He is focused on remaining relevant in the D.C. power mill. He is a D.C. power junkie. Go back and look at Rove’s personal history. This guy has been self elevated from an undistinguished junk mail vendor to the Wizard of Oz.

When you listen to Rove talk nowadays he ALWAYS talks about numbers and how to help the GOP party (even though he has been wroing more than rigth) but never talks about how anything is GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY

only what’s good for the party- and his pals with power getting in more of their pals

DUMP ROVE

Where is Sarah and Gingrich? - we need them to head up a new party

We actually have a textbook submitted here in Texas for use in public school that call the Boston Tea party members terrorists. They faced a serious grilling last week in the Texas legislature.

I looked in a history book one of my high school kids had before we left public school. It is not history, it teaches sociology and how great all races/ethnic collection are and how we (US) are basically no better. The revolutionary period was only 50 or so pages and WW2 about the same. I was so incensed.

In the early 90’s the more Conservative members of Canada’s Conservative Party (a sort of Tea Party if you will, largely based in Alberta) got fed up with the RINOy qualities of the Tories and they split. Formed their own party called the Canadian Conservative Reform Alliance Party (which spelled C-CRAP...poor job of marketing there).

In the short run it allowed the Liberals to run the table and do what they wanted with near impunity. In the long run though the RINOs got tired of taking it on the chin and reconciled with the more Conservative Conservatives, leading to a more Conservative Tory party and the Conservative government they have today.

Granted the country spent over a decade in Liberal Hell before they got there.

Why would the GOP be afraid of the teaparty unless they are not really repubs?

Why do we keep complaining about a party
1. We no longer agree with,
2. We don't see as following our beliefs
3. and are just Liberal Lites.
It's time for us to gather together as a people without a party name.
What has happened to America reminds me of a Babylon 5 segment with the Purple Drazi and the Green Drazi. Purple follows purple leader Green follows Green leader.
There was no agenda in mind but they beat each other up because of a scarf, hence party.
They are scared of the Tea Party and it's beginning to show.
Mitt was not elected because many principled citizens just refused to vote for him and there are a few who wanted to “teach” America a lesson.
We saw it here on FR. and they didn't vote. I see this as a chance to get going and support those who are strong leaders with America's interests in mind.
