Anchor Hits Back At Cantor: ‘No One’s Asking You To Marry Another Man’ (VIDEO)
Talking Points Memo ^ | April 5, 2013 | Tom Kludt

CNBC host Joe Kernen took House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) to task Friday over the Republican Party's opposition to same-sex marriage.

In a rare discussion of social issues on the financial news program "Squawkbox," Kernen argued that the GOP has squandered its appeal with fiscally conservative voters by virtue of its opposition to gay nuptials. Cantor said some people, himself included, have legitimate religious objections to same-sex marriage.

“There are those of us who have personal religious convictions about the issue," Cantor said. "And I think that we as a country need to respect people about their opinion, not matter which side you come down on. I think that's what's really been lacking in all of this debate."

Cantor suggested that the the party's position wasn't "being received in the proper way," but Kernen asserted that "if we really are free, then everybody should be free."(continued)

They're going to shove this down our throats and make it illegal to be against it.

Is his sister still drunk?

A good Catholic lecturing a GOPe Jew (who speaks like me)on the virtues of male fecal hole attraction as grounds for marriage

Princeless but sad

Poor Cantor...can’t win for losing

So, in the name of ‘freedom’ maybe a man should be able to have more then one wife.

Cantor avoids the questions and troublingly does not speak out against same sex marriage.

To wit, Cantor speaks to Kernen’s inability to distinguish the vulva from the anus.

then let me mary your young daughter kernan. let’me marry her even if she doesn’t want to. i should be free to use people whether they want me to or not. maybe she wants to marry me but doesn’t know it yet.

let’me marry your wife kernan. doesn’t matter if she’s already married, it’s what i want, and maybe even better if she does too. i’m not asking to marry you, just your wife. who are you to block my freedom?

let me destroy your property kernan. i should be free to follow my desires. whether or not you want me too. i’m not telling you you have to join in and destroy your stuff with me.

let’s let people marry their toasters. let’s let them marry their animals. could be great tax breaks there. maybe farmers could claim they’ve married all their milk cows. big tax break there. but you don’t care about that as much as the farmer’s freedom to marry who he wants. marriage really means nothing if you can marry anyone and everyone.

freaking idiot attempting to come across as smart.

i don’t have slaves’either but that doesn’t stop me from being against slavery.

i don’t have a uterus but that doesn’t relieve me of the obligation to stand up for what i believe is morally right.

whether you would do something or not is immaterial. one always has a duty to stand up for what they believe is morally right. we are all moral agents with a conscience and every right to promote and encourae what we believe to be true and correct.

the other side never stops but somehow they say we must.

if kernan is hetero then he shouldn’t be able to voice his “pro” opinion either, since he wouldn’t be marrying another guy either.

True. Until republicans forcefully and unapologetically repudiate this scourge, they will lose. People are waiting for courage, but have yet to see it.

They are obsessed with sex that involves feces. If just one of these politicians would respond with a simply stated description of what is being promoted...........

If your going to lose, go down swinging. We should be talking about what homosexual sex is all about, in frank language, just in case anyone is unclear on the matter.

“Well Joe, many Americans are against men engaging in filthy, fecal, anal intercourse, and we certainly don’t want to validate that abberant, risky, dirty, unhealthy, socially damaging behavior with the title of marriage.”

Can’t agree with you more. I once told a pro-gay old lady at church that the back passage was for pooping out of not putting things into. She said I was being digusting. My answer “What’s more disgusting me saying it or them doing it?” Must have been me saying it as that was the end of the conversation.

There you go again, Secret Agent Man: advocating moral behavior in post-constitutional, post-moral America. Santa Claus and his special little elf buddies are not going to be amused!

In full seriousness: leftist extremists feel insulted by the very idea of moral rightness. As far as they're concerned, morality is a very old-fashioned, unscientific concept, and anyway, only the state can make highest level decisions.

Joe Kernen has always been a jerk. He is a Prima Donna who is always trying badly to be a comedian and often rudely interrupts his guests with irrelevent statements just so he can be the center of attention. I am not surprised that this shallow personality has jumped on the sodomite bandwagon

Democrats are not interested in a man having more than one wife.

They want you to BE a wife and be a mistress to a bungholer.

They may keep a few men around just to supply sperm to their turkey basters.

Yep. By liberal logic, if you have a gay third cousin, all intellectual arguments against gay marriage are rendered invalid.

Don’t forget to throw in there that the AIDS virus is spread mostly through homosexual intercourse and sharing drug needles. So we are truly FOR the people, we don’t want to encourage something that most commonly leads to a horrific death sentence!
