The truth of the matter is that Reagan wasn't sure about things when he signed that bill. You can claim some kind of hindsight, or special thinking, or some other excuse, but clearly he signed a pro-abort bill. It was later that he firmed up his pro-life beliefs, you can spin it any way you want, but it was later.

And Ansell, anyone who knows me doesn't lie on this forum about me being a Romney bot. It's never been true, you're simply a liar and a weasel, and (to xzins) I have no regrets for saying that, because he is. Xzins, you know that I'm the farthest thing from a Romney devotee, so kindly go lecture him about his repeated lies.

Reagan became THE best president ever for those of us who are pro life, it's a slam dunk, he really worked to get rid of Roe v Wade, but to claim he was ALWAYS pro life is simply untrue. Spin it all you want, pretend it was so, but it wasn't.

And just so you clearly understand, he was NEVER pro-abort to my knowledge as Romney clearly was.

Last, Sir Ansell, your claim that Romney has ALWAYS been pro-abort is simply untrue, he hasn't changed since 2006. But you do like to lie, Sir A.......so keep on doing just that.

This thread is a thread of you being a romneybot, look at your first post, a rage at me for no other reason than discussing Romney in a negative way, you have a long history of doing that, the nastiest, most angry personal attacks.

Reagan was always pro-life, and never pro-abortion. Romney is pro-abortion and is one of the most passionate dedicated, sincere promoters of it, we have him giving incredibly moving tales of why abortion is important to have, and how he lost his dear family friend because it was illegal, and how his mother was courageous for campaigning on abortion in 1970.

Lying? Romney ran pro-choice TV ads in Ohio, and lost the state.

Romney came out against the GOP pro-life platform in August 2012 and restated his pro-choice, “health of mother” position and claimed that you Romney supporters knew it because he campaigned on it.

CBS, August, 2012, with Scott Pelley:

PELLEY: Well, the platform as written at this convention for the Republicans does not allow for exceptions on abortion with regard to the health of the mother or rape or incest. Is that where you are?

ROMNEY: No. My position has been clear throughout this campaign. I’m in favor of abortion being legal in the case of rape and incest, and the health and life of the mother.
