At least not in public. It may be the only way you get their attention though. They get away with these threats because their is no backlash to them.
Something like waking up with the head of a horse (better yet, a pig) beside them might give them second thoughts. At the least, let it be known that the hollow-point in your self defense weapon are filled with pig grease.
