"Pragmatism" and "governing effectively" are very, very important things to Progressives like David Frum, who view government as the source of human rights and of the conditions required for material prosperity and progress.

The Tea Party, in their eyes is an unsightly mob, a rabble of ill-educated and uninformed boobs who lack the intelligence and sophistication to understand how the world really works. To people like Frum, only Harvard-educated and well-bred sophisticates with refined Manhattan tastes are suited for leadership roles.

Why on earth should Republicans wrap their arms around Duck Dynasty when they can have "Bush Dynasty" instead? And they won't even have to send their Armani suits to the dry cleaners, afterward.

T. Coddington Van Voorhees VII lives on! Tally ho! Brie and chablis for all!

...That, combined with a Republican majority (buttressed by more newly elected conservative Republican Senators) in the Senate after the 2014 election, is giving the ruling elite nightmares. And they are doing everything possible to prevent this...

Has David Frum gone back on the LSD again? These inside the DC Beltway Boys really need to get out of their protective cocoons and live among real people who are deeply concerned and love this country. Sorry, David, you FAIL on all accounts.

What a douche. He doesn’t understand he is a member of the 1850 Whigs looking at a brand new party full of energized VICTORS.

A greater blessing would be for know-it-all liberal in RINO clothing Frum to return to his native Canada, and forever shut his ignorant mouth about US politics.

Frum is PMSNBC's idea of a “conservative.”

a strong conservative party could emerge and replace the GOP as an effective opposition party

That seems to be the way things are headed.

Third-party threats frighten Republican leaders. They remember that Ross Perot's independent challenge badly hurt George H.W. Bush's re-election campaign in 1992.

Still no one notices.. glaringly it's out there; to wit, Obamacare software cost almost three-quarters of a billion dollars. Hillary care was to replace all one-fifth of our economy. Perot's new DP company (he sold EDS years eariler to GM) was likely promised the sole contract for the DP work.

.. and frighten Republican leaders (would have) ignored warnings that was what Perot was about.

The GOP abandoned us after we worked our butts off for them in 2010 which is equal to or worse than Obama leaving the Iranian Freedom Movement hanging...

I refuse to let the GOP do it to me again.

Frumm and ilk can, nevermind, I can't post it, this is a family website...

The Dems own the liberal and low info voters.

The Tea Party would own the conservatives and libertarians.

What remaining constituency (lol) does Frum think would vote for the Republicans?

David Frum is a Canadian self-promoter, whose arrogance is exceeded only by his analytic ineptitude. His return to Canada would be a Blessing, indeed!

Some years ago, I proposed sending the poseur to Hati to save the Clinton "Legacy," there. (Remember, Clinton undermined the productive part of the population, by forcing a pro-American Haitian leader--actually a West Point graduate--into exile.)

For the proposal, see David Frum To Haiti Project.

In summary, David Frum is an intellectual joke. He is treated as a serious pundit only by those who seek to undermine traditional American values, and by those who have been conned into a species of analytic coma.

The contrast between Frum and a serious thinker like Ted Cruz, could not be more obvious to anyone with their mind open.

Republican conservatives under the banner of the “tea party movement” is not mainstream but “moderate Me Too republicans” (now refered to as democrat lite) is.

This is the new “mantra” led off by the AP and supported by a NBC phoney poll the media is using given to them by the Demo-Com central commandantura. CNN’s Van Jones was on 10/10/13 am 890’s WLS morning show. Jones opened his fly and started flashing the same pitch. And was told to zip it. .

It’s just sad the GOPES (gop Elite Snobs) continue with their stupid Pustch to purge conservatives. The question is will some historian in a future year reviewing the demise of the Republican party make the claim the Republican leadership of this era were working with the socialist/communists to purge the party of the conservatives ? BTW (by the way) WLS’s morning show hosts has been doing a decent job of exposing these demo-com media poseurs spreading that message.

The media could be given a sound trashing by solid conservative candidates and talk shows hosts just citing the stuff they were using to incite racial strife which has resulted in black youths (mainly) attacks on whites and hispanics resulting in deaths.

But it’s not even being approached. Not only (pardon the pun) collectively, but individually. Doing so would clearly point out that the visual and print media will are deep in the socialist agenda sewer with the regime. They are creating an America its citizens does not know.

Because each one of the media alphabet soup kitchens individually cooked up socialist concoctions following the cue given them by The POTUS Obama. Falling all over each other defending Obama’s mere comments “If I had a son” and “That could have been me” utterances which served as cues to the direction the propapganda was to take.

The fact that The POTUS embelished one statement after another. And as POTUS had to have full knowledge of the circumstaces of the Florida episode which in essence was a black on black episode. Yet POTUS Obama decided to manipulate the facts into a full blown racial incident to furthur a socialist concept and inflame a political base makes the Je Accuse Dreyfus scandal look like French pastry.

Letting POTUS Obama and his media get away with this travesty particularly by the clueless political opposition boggles the mind. But the facts are that’s what the conservative movement called the “tea party” is dealing with those leading the retreat into oblivion..
