What the pundits don't get is that the website isn't the big problem. The big problem is the structural defects, like intentional high premiums for young people to subsidize older people's premiums; forcing people to buy coverages they don't need; too limited choice in plans. Will Obama really fine (oh, I mean tax) people who don't buy anything? All of Obama's exemptions by fiat will mean huge losses for insurance companies - is he just going to cover those by fiat?

We were told we had to have the government seize control of the health insurance industry to solve the "problem" of the uninsured. But, at the end of the day fewer people will have insurance after implementation than before.
