Wouldn't the problems be solved by having a period of six months or so that had a lower minimum wage for new employees?

I don't see where raising the minimum wage is such a bad idea. If there were safeguards that jobs went to US workers instead of invaders and other unnecessary immigrant labor, it could cut into the unemployment situation, and lessen the need for government handouts.

A large segment of corporate America wants to keep its invader labor and assure they'll never have to raise their wages, replacing US citizens in the workforce.

As far as young people getting work? If we went back to reasonable minimal restrictions to being self employed, there'd be a whole lot of ways to make a paycheck.

Bad idea? How about, 1st, they figure where the authority comes from?

One never sees a Leftist/Socialist create a business and pay what THEY believe is the ‘fair/living’ wage.

Did you read my post. Raising the minimum wage will bankrupt some businesses. Are you for that?
