ORANGE BEACH, Alabama Rock and Roll has the Deadheads. Politics has Sarah Palins Earthquake Movement.
The organization, formed in 2010, filled three tables at The Wharfs Events Center in Orange Beach for Palins speech at the Baldwin County Republican Partys annual fundraising dinner. The men and women came from states far and wide. Members said the speech was the first Palin event they attended as a group but that members have gone to other appearances individually.
It was mostly to show we support her, said Sandra Bailey, a New Mexico woman who founded the group.
Organizations said the group has 2,300 members hailing from all 50 states and Canada.
We support who she endorses, said Linda Armstrong.
Wayne Mazza, a member from Pennsylvania said Palins great record as mayor of Wasilla and governor of Alaska is the second-biggest secret in American politics behind only President Barrack Obamas questionable associations before his election as president in 2008.
Mazza said Palins little-known accomplishments as governor include leaving office with a huge surplus and her veto of 271 frivolous spending bills.
