Marco Rubio backs Joni Ernst in Iowa primary

Sen. Marco Rubio jumped into Iowa’s contested Senate primary on Monday, throwing his support behind conservative candidate Joni Ernst.

After indicating in recent weeks that he would stay away from GOP primary season, the Florida senator decided to wade into one of the most consequential Senate races in the country by backing Ernst. Not only does Iowa hold the first-in-the-nation presidential caucus in 2016, but the state also will be central to the battle for the Senate this fall — unlike contested primaries in red states such as Oklahoma and Nebraska.

Rubio made the announcement through his Reclaim America PAC — noting it was the organization’s first shot fired in a contested Republican primary. The move came as other potential 2016 presidential contenders on the GOP side have waded into this year’s races: Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has endorsed insurgent candidates in Nebraska and Oklahoma while Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is campaigning for conservative Greg Brannon in North Carolina on Monday.

Rubio indicated the race in Iowa — where the GOP nominee will face Democratic Rep. Bruce Braley — is of great importance to Republicans given the party’s opportunity to take over the Senate during President Barack Obama’s last two years in office. Liberal Democratic Sen. Tom Harkin is retiring after five terms — creating the first open-seat Senate race in the state in many years.....

Yeah, as she's about to win. What a "Profile in Courage" this is. Who was it that backed her before it was pretty much a sure thing? Bueller? Bueller?

Is this his PAC where he reclaims America by giving it to the illegals?

Not necessarily. I’m for Joni, and I hope she wins. But, the latest poll shows her at 25% and her closest competitor in 2nd place with 23%. Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.

I candled the eggs...Joni’s going to win.

I believe she’d get the 35% vote in the June 3rd primary needed to avoid going to a statewide convention to pick the nominee. But if it goes to convention, Joni will certainly win.
