Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is so angry over the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision in the Hobby Lobby contraception case last week that he apparently forgot Justice Clarence Thomas is black.
The Nevada Democrat lamented the court’s ruling which allows Hobby Lobby and other for-profit companies with religious objections to certain forms of contraception to avoid providing them to employees in health insurance plans mandated under Obamacare.
Hobby Lobby approves of 16 out of 20 forms of contraception that have been approved by the FDA.
“People are going to have to walk down here and vote, and if they vote with the five men on the Supreme Court, I think it’s — they’re going to have — be treated unfavorably come November with the elections,” Reid told reporters on Tuesday, according to ABC.
The Senate will act soon to “ensure that women’s lives are not determined by virtue of five white men,” Reid added.
But his reference to “five white men” was off by 20 percent.
Only four of the male justices who sided with Hobby Lobby — John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy — are white. The other — Clarence Thomas — is black.....

Worse that that they believe that minorities can be White if they adopt conservative political views as they view the term White as a social construct.
Dingy Harry knew exactly what he was saying. Justice Thomas votes conservatively and Reid, like many small-minded and intolerant liberals, believes black men should not be conservative, so he called him white.

No, seriously, it’s amazing to me, first, that the Dinge hasn’t wound up in a hole somewhere in the north forty of Clark County, and second, that two such image-conscious institutions as the Democrats and the Mormon Church allow that sour old coot to be one of their major faces.
Racist (and sexist) straight up — and not just for mischaracterizing Justice Thomas, but speaking as if being male or white in and of itself is a bad thing.
The obligatory shoe-on-the-other-foot question has to be asked -
had a conservative mistaken - say Thurgood Marshall - for white, would that go unnoticed by the media and the left?
The headline is an obvious editorial error in that Harry Reid and think are used in the same sentence.

Seriously, how he keeps being voted in makes me completely believe our votes don’t count—there can’t possibly be that many foolish people in Nevada. I am CERTAIN there are that many crooked, filthy, corrupt sorts to ensure they keep the gravy train running and therefore they must make sure Harry sits around up there at the Ritz?(or whatever that hotel penthouse he lives in)

True on both accounts. He has had a lot of practice at bearing false witness, and being evil. I don't think a word of truth has come out of his mouth in decades. If he were to suddenly tell the truth, he would fall over and croak.
HE seems to be saying that only white men could possible oppose abortion, while blacks, of course, want all the babies dead.
Doesn’t this sound like a bizarre racist social-hygiene thing, when put that way?
