I think we really, really, really need to think about how significant this is. Conservatives (Real Americans) are trying to bring this country out of a long slide. Republicans have sometimes been little help, and mostly been actively thwarting us. And here we’re trying to get Cruz elected and the former governor of his state, is saying crap like this. Not helpful. When a conservative happens to win a primary, Republicans tenuous support in the general elections, remember that.
And this talk about “loyalty.” Never vote for a person who puts personal loyalty above this country/state. That’s the Good Ol’ Boy network on full display, and the exact reason the GOP is hopeless.
Good ol’ boy network is correct. Love my state, really like Cruz, can’t stand Rick Perry. He’s the wrong kind of Texan for me, speaks out of both sides of his mouth and is completely establishment.

Excellent point. We can’t afford nepotism of any kind, especially during these times when the country is in such dire straits.

So true. e.g. I must vote for Obama because “ he’s black”
No you should vote your conscience, not your color. Besides he’s half black.
Wouldn’t you like someone who’s 100% not one who plays to the voting block, and the guilt side of his whiteness.
