There's no reason to attack Ted Cruz on something that no present day viable candidate will do. Presidents Coolidge, Reagan and Eisenhower are gone. The country has changed significantly. No one, and I mean no one except Rep. Tancredo (and he's a virtual non-entity) is going to implement a mass deportation of 40+ million individuals in front of hundreds of thousands of separate TV cameras, reporters, camera phones, bloggers and protestors. You think Ferguson was a big deal, wait for this. If facing reality makes me "pro-amnesty" then I don't know how to argue with you.

You’re falling for the false dichotomy: either we have to forcibly deport 40+ million or we give them all amnesty and eventual citizenship. (Though to be precise, Cruz doesn’t not advocate citizenship for them, even though that would be the end result.)

And if it’s really that many, then by chain migration after they become citizens we’re talking about 120 million Leftist, low-skill, welfare-dependent, new Americans!

You’ve clearly already surrendered to our becoming North Latin America, but your fellow citizens haven’t, and it is pressure from voters that can keep us from that end.

Enforce the laws, don’t give them benefits, deport them when they are encountered, crack down on employers of illegals, and soon enough we’ll have plenty of good-paying jobs for our plethora of low-skill Americans.
