I’m glad more Republicans like Trump than McCain, but I was rather hoping their favorable percentages would be more like 30% vs. 15%, rather than both just above 50%.

What a silly question about Trump.
Trump is one of the few republicans who fights back.

McCain has a long record in congress.
So people have opinions.

How can any person have negative opinion of Trump?
He has never been elected before, so how can anything be negative? If and when he fails to deliver his promises, only then one can be justified in a negative.

That title really isn’t saying much in that I like Trump better than stepping in fresh dog s*** too, while I like McCain less.
What a great name for a new political party! The ‘We’d rather step in dog s*** than vote for GOPers Like Juan McCain’ party.
The Hi-steppers? The S***heels? It needs work.

One can have a negative view of a newcomer on the political scene on the basis of his public statements, positions taken, policies advocated, or even in Trump’s case, his history of political donations. Rumor has it Trump contributed to Hillary’s Senate campaign.

How is it even possible 51% of republicans have a somewhat favorable view of McCain, he is a Democrat? That is what is wrong with GOP right there.

lol Trump has contributed to 100 different politicians. That is what you do when running a multi-Billion dollar business. In other words you play sugar daddy to various politicians. Which makes almost all politicians beholden to their rich donors.

Now Trump himself is running OFFICIALLY for the first time for president. And he needs NO sugar daddy’s to yank his chains.

90%+ incumbent politicians get re-elected everywhere. Because they bring goodies to their districts.

That’s a pretty low bar.

That’s a fair point...what you’re really saying is that any support or any opposition to Trump, at this point, is probably soft and subject to significant change. Whereas McCain and the Wildebeest numbers are not going anywhere.

I suspect you’re right.
