My health isn’t anywhere near good enough, neither is my wife’s. Otherwise I would, especially since I lived in Iowa half my life.
I read something in the Des Moines paper that Iowans don’t like interlopers. Something about campaigns should be able to pull in local Iowans as volunteers.
I have no idea if that was true. Just thought it was interesting.
You know all the backroads and interstates, then! Sorry you won’t be able to make it...I know you would, if you could.
I have raised around $75,000 though, so that’s something.
Hmmm, that makes sense. Interloping didn’t help Hillary that’s in Iowa, for sure.
Cruz.
Cruz has the best ground game. (He has Steve King’s organization.) He also has plenty of money.
I know. Ted has plenty of my money too. Before Donald was in the race, Ted was the first to declare and he was hammered incessantly by the media and by trolls in the press and here on FR. I burned a lot of midnight oil defending him.
But Donald has a charisma and broad based appeal like no other.
Whereas Ted is a conservative champion, Donald is a patriot of the highest order:

Donald is 69, Ted is 44. I think the writing is on the wall the ticket will be Trump-Cruz.
That said, I will support and back any supporter of Ted Cruz, and likewise Donald Trump. I will not allow the scumbag media to play their divide and conquer games by pitting supporters of Cruz against supporters of Trump. If one is a supporter of Trump or Cruz, they are winners period.
Ted Cruz will not be able to win NH, but a win in Iowa may propel him to 2nd in NH, plus give Ted momentum towards SC later in February. SC is a winner take all delegates formatted state. That will give Ted momentum for the big southern state primary lineup on March 1st.
How they will pile on him! Watch and be amazed when the White House, RNC, DNC, MSM, Liberal Colleges, Cair, Black Lives mater, Rinos, and Megyn Kelly now go full time to nail trump to the wall. He will be finished by Christmas. The next debate CNN again—will be “Get Trump”—racists anti-Muslim Turmp has no place in the Republican Party. The GOP may well toss him out. No expense will be spaired to cook his goose. Anyone who attends his conferences will be branded Yahoo, Confederate Flag loving nuts—be audited, arrested and forced to give up voting rights.
My point is that when you look at the winners of the Iowa caucus, it’s not much of an indicator. Yes, some presidents have won Iowa, but numerous other non-starters did, too. Iowa’s only interesting due to it being the first, not as a predictor. The media needs to fill lots and lots of air time, so they may as well hype Iowa.
The influx of humanity to those caucus meetings will be incredible to watch or participate in. Cruz has great support and enthusiasm. I don’t see bush,Gramnesty, kasich or christie getting a single delegate in Iowa. Maybe I’m wrong but that is my estimation of Iowa.
Cruz’ regional best shot lay in the South, that’s for sure, and you have to say Trump is quite a force there too.
Outside of the South and in Florida, I believe everything then consolidates around TRUMP going North, and it’s done.
They designed the Florida Primary for March 15th as winner take all for Jeb and the ones up North are winner take all again designed for Jeb, but oops Trump may do that in the end.
The comforting fact about Trump support seems to me that he has risen across the board, with even Democrats, moderates and Independents, who want to survive ISIS and resent the illegals taking low skilled jobs, as the high skilled jobs go in significant numbers to foreign workers, when their kids are struggling for higher skilled placement after earning degrees and paying for their college education.
Obama has po all regions of the country and hung the jobs numbers on low skilled and the under employed, which has killed us.
