It’s possible the evangelicals can pull it out for Ted Cruz but the electorate has changed its composition since 2008, 2012. The electorate is now more independent than ever.

I think Trump’s supporters come out in droves for him.

Trump’s popularity, and his poll numbers, can be explained by one simple sentence from the movie “Network:

“We’re mad as hell and we are not going to take it anymore!”

The media and politicians and pundits are not taking Trump seriously, but Trump represents the pent up anger from the people. Trump could easily win the presidency if the people continue to believe that Trump best represents their moods and needs and desires.
