And as I pointed out at the time, you don't correct a problem by refusing to participate. You correct a problem by playing whipsaw.

The NRA has used this tactic successfully for the last several decades. Now both parties want to stay on the NRA's good side.

McConnell was a traitor. He stabbed us in the back by supporting those Racist ads against Mississippi Republicans.

No matter how bad of a left wing idiot Grimes was, she was the best hope we had of taking out a traitor.

If you decided to stay home, you did exactly one vote worth of damage to McConnell. Once you've decided to do damage to McConnell, why didn't you do twice as much damage by voting for his opposition?
