I think we should send our medical bills to the MSM. My blood pressure has been higher than normal for the last six months thanks to the pundits crowning Hitlery as the winner. They’ve been lying to us all this time just to suppress our votes, and I’ll never forget that!

They can vote in a Presidential election once they have moved to a state. Is it right? Not in my view it is not, as they have their allegiance to their own island, and not this country. They still speak their language, fly their flag etc.

IIRC, once a Puerto Rican establishes residency in one of the 50 states, they have full voting rights, including general election for POTUS.

They can vote in a Presidential election once they have moved to a state. Is it right? Not in my view it is not, as they have their allegiance to their own island, and not this country. They still speak their language, fly their flag etc.

Thank you both - NautiNurse and manc - for your replies above.

Wow, that's just what I feared. I don't think it's right either.

What's to stop the entire island of PR from emptying out, and forever changing the state of Florida??

There is nothing stopping them. Personally I wish they would become a country, and then they have to come here through the immigration process like other immigrants.
The people I know from there speak their own language, they have their own flag, and always fly that flag, they have loyalty to their island, so why should they be able to come here, vote, and claim welfare, and take jobs?

I totally agree with you! Whose idea was it to make PR a territory of the U.S.?? How do we cut them off for good??

Same here in The People's Republik of Connecticut. We have MANY second, third, etc. generation Puerto Ricans here in Connecticut's (formerly beautiful) cities who never assimilate (there are some exceptions).

That PR flag is flying in every CT inner city neighborhood, and attached to rear-view mirrors of many (mostly beat up or pimped out) cars.

You drive through any of those neighborhoods in broad daylight and you see PLENTY of able-bodied people not working, and teenage girls pushing brand-new (paid for by the taxpayers no doubt) Graco baby carriages.

And of course they always vote for the Party of Free Stuff: The democRATs. GRR!
