A petition calling for the removal of Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant for “abuse of power” is nearing its goal.

As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, the petition has just over 23,377 supporters. The goal is 25,000.
The author of the petition claims Sawant is “not respecting the will of the people, and it wants her removed for abusing her power.
Here’s an excerpt from the author:
Kshama Sawant is not respecting the will of the people. She’s using her platform to incite violence and call for protests and riots. Our elected officials should be helping and bringing people together in our communities not promoting hate towards our democracy. Whether you like the outcome or not of the election, we look upon our officials to follow the laws of this country. Let’s help bring people together and follow the laws to get things done not promote hate and dismay because this election did not go her way. Let’s send a message to our local Mayor that she should step down from her position or be impeached. It is not appropriate for elected officials to call for protests.
The petition was created after Sawant called for a massive protest against President Donald Trump and a nationwide shutdown on Inauguration Day.
“I appeal to you … let’s have a massive protest, and tell America we do not accept a racist agenda,” Sawant said in November. “And let’s make sure on Inauguration Day … let’s do a nationwide shutdown.”
Thousands did protest on Inauguration Day and over the weekend.
And Sawant’s calls to action in opposition of President Trump didn’t end there. A column written by the councilmember, published on Monday, encourages a “wave of protests and strikes” on May Day — a day of what begins with peaceful immigrant and worker marches and typically ends in chaos in Seattle.
I'm glad they mentioned that so, if I go, I'll know how to plan my day.

the cause is raising money for themselves. They do that by collecting names at these events and hitting them up for cash. All these groups are taking in record cash but more importantly, they are building data bases of like minded people.

Sawant became a USA citizen in 2010.
Notice she never did all this activism while living in her native India. She is an undesirable and should be deported.

Sawant was born to Vasundhara and H. T. Ramanujam in Pune, in a Hindu middle-class family. Her mother is a retired principal and her father, a civil engineer, was killed by a drunk driver when Sawant was 13.[7] Sawant's observations of poverty in her native country and her unhappiness with the Indian caste system helped shape her political views before her adoption of socialism. Sawant grew up in Mumbai where she later studied computer science and graduated with a B.Sc from the University of Mumbai in 1994. She married her husband Vivek, an engineer at Microsoft, and moved to the United States. They have since become estranged.
Kshama Sawant is a member of the Socialist Alternative party, the United States section of the British-based Trotskyist international organization the Committee for a Workers' International (CWI). Sawant has stated that she does not advocate for any system like the "bureaucratic dictatorship" of the former Soviet Union, but for democratic socialism meaning "the society being run democratically in the interest of all working people on the planet, all children - everybody who has needs, and all that being done in an environmentally sustainable manner." The Socialist Alliance articulated the Four Conditions for Revolution. Sawant stated that her party had the lead for the anarchist 1999 Seattle WTO protests.

Seattle is looking more and more like a 3rd-world crap hole with tall buildings! In addition to this city counselperson, they elected another fem-commie to fill Baghdad Jim’s seat in congress. Pramilla Something. Lord knows where she came from. Flaming gay mayor, tons of homeless living under the freeways and in public-financed camps with “tiny houses”. Sure glad I got out of there when I did!
