How about the fact that “Hillary the Overconfident” was an exceptionally lazy candidate who did not want to meet the voters or schedule public events? Her losses in Michigan and Wisconsin were largely down to her refusal to engage in retail politics. Hillary narrowly carried Minnesota, which is generally a Democratic lock.
I don’t think she “could” get out meet the voters!
Best she could manage after mid-Sept was 1-2 public speeches - walk on stage, speak for 5-10 minutes, walk off stage and get in Suburban (er, ambulance) away from the crowds. Add 2-3 closely controlled “fund-raisers” in private small venues with no reporters, no TV’s, no cell phones, and NO CAMERAS. Obviously, no repubbies and no independents eithers would might speak up.
That’s it. That was her entire campaign in Sept Oct and Nov. 1-3 events a week.
