I have met the man, back in the 1970s. He’s a Marxist nut who thinks he’s the next best thing since sliced bread, when it comes to “social” issues.
His expertise is and was really linguistics. His theories on that topic have proven wrong. Yet he remains at MIT for some strange reason. Maybe because MIT is in Boston and Boston is so Liberal and since the media is so Leftist, Chomsky is a Leftist and he likes be get attention as if he was some grand philosopher, so the media loves to lift him up. He merely applies Marxist dialectics to philosophy. In sum, he’s an over-rated Leftist big mouth the media likes to give attention to.
As long as they’re listening to him, they’re not listening to someone who can actually help them dig themselves out of the hole they’re in.
I have never forgiven Chomsky for his lying and dissembling in pursuit of the excuse over the Cambodian democide. I always thought that he should have suffered the same fate as those he consigned to the memory hole of history. Say, chopped to pieces with hoes, shovels and pickaxes.
He criticizes Trump for not having core beliefs. As if the democrats had any. What a clown.

It’s the one where Democrats paid Russians for fake dirt on Trump to justify government surveillance of his campaign in an attempt to effect the election. The scandal is that Trump is being investigated but the known perpetrators are not.
