In an unannounced trip to Iraq, a country that has seen horrific war and terrorism over the last decade, Secretary of Defense General James Mattis was making a statement.
The general landed in Iraq Tuesday morning, just hours after President Trump made an announcement that America will be sending more troops to Afghanistan. Trump made it clear in his remarks that he is going to be empowering his generals to kill the enemy, whom he referred to as losers.

I love it. GO MATTIS GO
Love him/
He is personally telling the commanders how it is going to be. Kill the bast@rds. Show no mercy. I love it.
Yeah. A t-shirt or a coffee cup or a severed head. That would be nice.
This is the start of the Tal Afar offensive that Mattis speaks of in the interview. ISIS built a series of berms around Tal Afar and our Iraqi partners go to work breaching them. Not an exciting video but it gives you a look at who is fighting for us.

Maybe he could bring back some ears.
Had Hillary been elected, her transsexual Secretary of Defense would now be embarking on a listening tour of ISIS-occupied territory, to better understand how America can make amends for its history of barbaric Islamophobia, and be more sensitive to ISIS’s current needs.
That 4000 yanks are probably already there. Nice work.
? Elaborate please.
That was the most ridiculous display of military leadership I’ve ever seen.
The E6 jamaican fat girl who could barely speak English that was our NBC Warfare specialist was not nearly as retarded as those Officers directing that battle. Wow....just wow....
Warlord head on a stick would probably raise Trump’s approval ratings a point or two.
“Yeah. A t-shirt or a coffee cup or a severed head. That would be nice.”
Maybe an ISIS-pelt t-shirt and a coffee mug made from a severed ISIS head.
Have to admit.... I love it!
“I sure hope he brings me back some souvenirs.”
I’ll settle for taking names off their roll - mucho-many-many of them. Curtis LeMay succinctly defined war; “... you’ve got to kill people, and when you’ve killed enough they stop fighting.” Don’t get no more accurate than that.
In that vein, I sometimes think that since WWII - 70+ years, we may have killed more than would have been necessary if we’d killed enough to start with. Go figure?! And in that time, our losses have been personal, some more so than others.
Semper Fidelis
Or several sets of ISIS cojones strung into a makeshift necklace.
I like the new rules of engagement.
Sad but true.
Anyone know the status of operations in Syria? No news coverage. Last I heard they were about a week away from cleaning out Raqqa. That was weeks ago.
