"Bernie Sanders, Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker"

Four+ post-17th Amendment ratification senators this time.

”… have filed legislation designed to essentially gut the ability of individual states to pass right-to-work laws and hand back iron-fisted control of the workplace environment to labor unions."

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Twisted interpretations of the Commerce Clause (1.8.3) by FDR's state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices aside, patriots are reminded of the following.

The states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect labor unions, or to give the feds the specific power to deal with any of the INTRAstate labor-related issues that these misguided senators have introduced legislation to address.

"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

All these senators seem to be up for reelection this year, corrections welcome. So it’s no surprise that these misguided, constitutionally low-information senators are trying to keep their seats with unconstitutional campaign promises which would unconstitutionally expand the already unconstitutionally big federal government’s powers.

We really need to get rid of the ill-conceived 17th Amendment.

The 16th Amendment needs to disappear too.

Doesn’t sound very democratic to me. No voting for the workers, no choice for the workers as they have now in some states.
