I think you left out blackmail as to a possible cause of so many Republicans caving in and/or actively working with the Democrats over the years.
With so many Republicans finally out, though it cost us dearly in the house, I am hoping, truly hoping we can gain over time honest and worthy Republican Representatives.
I’ve maintained for decades those FBI files that disappeared during the Clinton years were put to use throughout the following decades.
