A California County Sherrif said the police department is not cracking down on residents who break social distancing rules, saying officers are too busy re-arresting those who were released under the state’s zero-dollar bail policy.
The story: Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims made the comments in an interview with Trevor Carey on the “Trevor Carey Show.”
“I’ve heard multiple sheriffs around the nation state they will not enforce their governors’ shelter-in-place orders. Is that your position?” Carey asked.
“That is my position. We do not stop the public to find out what they’re doing when they’re not sheltering in place. We don’t ask those questions, we don’t ask if they’re ‘essential’. We’ve got our hands full trying to re-arrest people that are released due to zero-dollar bail. So we’ve got other things that are on our mind that are more important than stopping normally law-abiding citizens,” Mims explained.

The importance of local sheriff races is becoming more obvious by the day. I’d bet not too many people bother to vote in them. Good way lay groundwork in blue counties, at least the few blue counties that are not major metropolitan centers.
Wow! Who saw THIS coming?! Perhaps we should let them ALL out. That will teach us!!

Lockdown ‘violator’: “Urinating in public, and pooping on the sidewalks”

I know I’ve used this reference before but i love mentioning it. A couple of youths from Jacksonville were breaking into an occupied dwelling at night here. One of them got shot dead. The lib reporter trying to make a point with a leading question asked the sheriff what he was going to do about the shooting. He looked at her, shrugged his shoulders and said it looks like someone tried to invade a home. What you have to realize is almost all of the homeowners in this county have guns and if you break into their home, you are probably going to get shot.
She’d make a great governor. I looked it up. Mims was once a registered Democrat, but now she is a Republican. Unfortunately, if she keeps that (R) after her name her chances of winning a state-wide office in CA would be about as good as mine.
And I don’t live in CA. So my chances are zero.
Someone’s gotta do it. May as well be her. :-)

Excellent. Citizens made prisoners, criminals set free! The dream Democrat world.
The democrats are releasing criminals including murderers to make room for honest people.
I don't have the time, but it would be interesting if someone made a list of all the Sheriffs who are saying no.
