There is a huge reason conservatives can’t take it back, and that is 27% of California’s population is foreign born. I.e. they’re all from socialist countries and they’re voting for socialism. And in many ways, you can thank Reagan for this.

That is a bitter truth we conservatives have to face. Whether he regretted the decision to sign the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli law or not the fact is he shouldn’t have signed it.
