Oz at Trump Rally

Posted on 05/06/2022 4:30:02 PM PDT by Amish

Interesting observations on Today's Trump Rally

1- Overwhelming number of comment posteds on live streaming site are anti-OZ

2. When Oz spoke on stage, the people in the Gallery with Oz signs all cheered, but when the camera backed away for a few seconds to show the backs of the audience in from of the stage.. there was almost NO REACTION. Seems like they selected and gave signs to those behind the podium with a specific intent... one not shared very much by the larger audience.

It will be interesting to see what happens on primary night on the 27th... the largest number of positive comments on the live steam were for Kathy Barnette.. not Oz for sure and almost none I could see for McCormick.

I sure wish he would have endorsed Kathy Barnette.

Glad I decided not to watch this rally tonight with Oz speaking. So disappointed in Trump. He knows better.

I know this will be unpopular, but maybe Trump, for lack of a better term, had a “Come to Jesus” moment talk with Oz.

Trump believes he’ll have an ally in the Senate.

I think it’s two things first Trump and Oz are friends that counts for a lot with Trump and second Trump knows a Oz has a lot of appeal to women because of his TV exposure. Trump thinks Oz will be on the right side of most issues. We may find out. Trump has been burned more than once.

I can understand the suspicion of Oz and if I was a Pennsylvanian would be hesitant to vote for him.

I;m originally from the area, and Pat Toomey is a big RINO.

I trust Trump has learned his lesson.

Win or lose with Oz. Trump’s in charge. He couldn’t be worse than Toomey. Maybe we can do better. We certainly deserve it. There are 4 rat seats to take. This one we need to keep. With 54 seats we can deal wit Collins an hopefully no deal with Oz.

No thanks. I’ve never been a fan and he strikes me as sleazy. Oprah’s picks don’t hold up over time. I’m disgusted by Trump’s endorsement.

The main issue with Barnette is the lack of funding. Statewide, she is invisible. If all MAGA voters sent her campaign 10 dollars it would go a long way to get her message out. I sent $50.

It’s too bad that Parnell dropped out. He would have beaten the democrat Frankenstein in a wave election.

So if we are stuck with carpetbagger Oz as the nominee, Frankenstein will destroy Oz by 5-7 percentage points. Not enough Pennsylvanians can relate to someone who is a Turkish citizen. That is simply a deal breaker. Oz would have had a better chance running for a congressional seat and then work his reputation as a true Pennsylvanian 4 years from now. As it stands now, the guy has ZERO Pennsylvania bona fides.

I think one aspect that plays into this is that Trump really isn’t a strong social conservative. He plays to that base with Supreme Court and other judicial picks, but that isn’t really who he is. When endorsing candidates, it doesn’t seem to be high on his priority list. That causes many of his picks to have feet of clay.

Sent this as a PM to someone already but I guess I'll make it a public comment. Feel free to flame.

I think Trump is playing Mitch’s game. “I want someone who can win” Mitch once said. All of Mitch’s people have GOP money behind them and the ads that go with it to create name recognition and most are somewhat known already due to being a politician.

Oz has money and fame already. Barnette does not.

It’s all about winning. It’s Trump vs the Swamp.

Will half of Trump’s picks cozy right up to the swamp?

Possibly but Trump wins the 2022 round.

ADDING:

He is a boxing fan and has played the long in real estate.

I don't know how the Trump/GOP relationship works. Do they still get a big chunk of any money that goes to him? Is he relying solely on rallies to support candidates with no actual money or ads for them? Is he not allowed to buy ads for non GOP candidates so rallies and endorsements are a workaround?

I don't get it. Seems like half the conservatives in PA aren't into the GOP guy or Oz yet any that have heard/seen Barnette, like her. But this is politics so it doesn't necessarily matter what the people think and it definitely doesn't matter what I think because I'm not in PA.

Hopefully it's not a matter of what the dems in PA, 1 of 6 STEAL states think.

Polls show slight Oz lead. As they did for Vance in Ohio.

If you’re in the Greensburg area, I recommend eating at Ruthie’s Diner on Rte. 30 in Ligonier, a few miles to the east.

In the latest poll, she’s in 3rd place.

What ever happened to the gal from Western PA who was a county commissioner and was running for a congressional seat 10 or so years ago?

The problem with Kathy is she’s not ready yet. The General is going to be brutal. What good does it do to win the primary if you don’t win the general.

Her supporters are missing something(again). She’s like solar panels. If she was so good why isn’t everyone buying? Show proof by running for a lower office like the house. Her supporters here are like my buddies in Viet Nam. Got laid for the first time and though they were in love. Use your heads.

I guess we can all make one mistake.

Trump made one supporting this guy. That and his poor choice of cabinet members in his administration.
