If there were a Republican House 87k IRS would have been nixed in favor of 87k border agents.

And lawyers for the J6ers would be going through 14k hours of video looking for exculpatory evidence.

The Republican edge in the House is very thin, and the Supreme Court has just ordered racial gerrymandering in two states which will hand two seats to the Democrats. That nutcase freshman Congressman in New York is likely to be a one-termer. So the Republicans need to focus on the most vulnerable Democrats.

Granted, they make little use of their majority status, but at least they chair committees and can conduct hearings.
