From the website of Congressman Chip Pickering who's district was combined with a Democrat Ronnie Shows after the 2000 census...

"One thing is clear. Ronnie Shows will continue to run a negative campaign. And Chip made a commitment to run a positive, issue-oriented campaign. But he also made it clear to Shows that he will not serve as his punching bag. Whenever Shows takes a cheap shot, he better be prepared to answer questions about why he took $5,000 from Hillary Clinton, or why would he vote to put a Pro-Abortionist/Gun-Grabber in charge of Congress."
